Hi All

After going through some of the journey from BHW i decided to start a small website with a content i know off. the only money i spend was just 12$ for both site and hosting for a year and started with a keyword search. obviously i chose not so good keyword and articles i wrote by myself. Now that after 4 months here are the result.

I have earn about 100$+ from amazon affiliate with different traffic sources. But these gates were closed after some time due to different reasons. I feel somewhat this is nowhere near enough result for a 4 month work. So guys . i just need your opinion. Should i abandon this project and move into different one? or take more time and build more backlinks add more content with praying to god. thanks a lot

You need to address why those traffic source avenues were closed, and see about reopening them but better.

Obviously you need to build backlinks first. If you did, what kind of links you’ve built?

It's easy to give up but it's hard to keep moving. Learn more about ranking your website and your earnings will improve.

The traffic sources are somewhat illegal. TBH i use question sites mostly and they are against the policy of posting links to website. They tolerate at first but then after that they have game me warnings to not post my site as credits. So now that i have option of spamming these or find new ones. i guess find new sources are the only option.

Well i build web 2.0s , guest posting and manual commenting. i have around 120+ backlinks so far from good sites.

i think the problem is with the keyword i select. it has very limited searches per month and very high difficultly .

It's not illegal but just against the site/forum rules. If you can't get away with blackhat, then look at white hat methods.

Then just change domain if it happened, and before it get flagged by Google you have time.
You can get cheap domain as low as 0.39$ ..
I dont see why the domain is a problem :)

oh yeah i can do that. thank you. But won't that be hurting search engine rankings?

My advice, this should not be your only sources of income. Better try with easier options first like reselling online services. You can then use some of money earned there for these projects.

Reselling services is a thing that i have no idea of. i would like to learn how to do it. will search on bhw a good threat or a guide. thanks a lot.

4 months is no time for a new site. Guessing you were not working on the site 100% of your time and you were at school, work or doing other things for the vast majority of the time.

$88 return on a site which still has time to earn more this year and the next, I say, keep it as a side project. If those are your KW difficulty scores, then yeah, maybe start a new site with far easier difficulty KW's to go after. That way you can rank by just hand building some links and not have to worry about spamming question sites.

But don't give up on this site, add new articles every now and then, build a few extra links etc. At the worse case, you can turn it into a PBN site for your new money site and best case it keeps on earning for you. Tons of people on here don't make a fortune from a single site, they make lots of small amounts from lots of sites which amounts to a lot at the end of the month. That is my affiliate model.

By the way, my 1st site's KW's were ridiculous, but 3 years later and I am still plugging away, adding new articles, instruction guides and the odd quality link and it is getting seen as an authority site and brings in $100+ p/m. My other sites KW's are much easier :)

This is your biggest problem I guess. Do some research for long tail keywords with low difficulty/competition so you can score more easily.

Reselling is quite easy, depending on the service you choose offcourse. In fact it is just the basic of business: Buy low, sell high. e.g. Buy 1k FB likes for $1 and resell it for $5 or more. If you want to be good at it including delivering hq service to your clients it will benefit if you know the product: So you can better study some high margin products for reselling instead of the reselling itself :D

Anyway good luck, you did one thing and that's taking action. 99% wouldn't do that and keep looking for magic methods :)

i wish i had tools like ahrefs. it would have been much easier.

Get the $7, 7 day trial or use KWfinder, or buy a super easy KW pack from BHW. I signed up to a shared ahrefs package I found on fiverr for $25, it was naff and the ahrefs account limits are consumed very quickly, so I just raised a ticket and got them to create more and more and more over the month. I never bought the service again but I can login with most of those accounts each day to do any research I need.

Combined with free trials of Long Tail Pro and other tools and you can easily do your own decent KW research. In fact, just use LTP and KWfinder and it costs you zero.

thanks dude for the advice. yeah i think i agree with you. its time to move on to a different keyword but keep this site as my pbn . once it grow it will be help to my other sites. at least i would be having decent pbns at the end of some time.

so basically you signed up for few of shared ahref accounts and use them separately. hmmm not a bad idea. thanks again

Be patient 4 months is actually not that long.
If you keep at it you will see more traffic.

If you are getting a monthly profit out from that site automatically - I would definitely stick to that project for sure!
For me, if minimal work were placed into the project, and if there is some sort of revenue flowing in from that project, ie, a profit of $100 a month, I'd keep that and repeat the entire process, on another niche - reinvest it into another similar project with the revenue.
Thus, I would multiply this another 9 times to have at least 10 sites bringing in a total of $1000 per month, and now that's turning into a business already.
