Should I give up on IM?

I started in IM back in November. Still trying to research etc and it’s just so much work. These methods said I was gonna be mega rich by the time lockdown was over.
If you could state a single point about IM that would convince someone it’s worth the extra input what would it be?

You get back what you put in. If it's too much work for you this game isn't for you. There is no such thing as a free ride. Why not try to do something that you enjoy and make money from that instead?

What is your alternative employment?

I have direct family members that are real estate brokers. Is there any reason why you’re not up to your eyeballs in sales contracts? Are you just doing IM in the evening?

Internet marketing takes time. For some people it may work fast, but if you want to consistently grow in these field, you need to spend more.

You must like what you do and not think about money only, if it feels unbearable to do, you should stop.

The other reason to stop is if you don't see any revenue from it for years.

There are LOTS and LOTS of people earning 4 figures (US$) monthly in internet marketing (some earn even more than that). However, the reality is that not everyone can do everything. Not everyone can be a good sports person, not everyone can be a good speaker, not everyone can be a good car racer, and not everyone can be a good internet marketer.
As far as internet marketing goes, Youtube is a goldmine to find methods, but one needs to correctly implement methods that are working. And as far as getting to know the trends, seeking clarifications, getting insights, etc, BHW is a goldmine.

I make 30-40k$ a month
Hope thats enough for you to stick to the plan.

If it's easy, everyone would be mega rich in months.

You should try to do something that you enjoy and earn money from that.

IM is not as it used to be, too much competition, too much barriers, and "Make Money Online" is a mainstream thing now.
You said you're in real estate, there are many jobs/fields paying way more than IM would ever get you, Real estate included, stop killing yourself for pennies man !

Youtube is really fun, but it does take a while to be successful.

You really want to feel like a slave to a job you ain't enjoying until you retire?

It gets easier. I failed like 7 to 10 projects and got profits of a few only. I see that as a success, still learning and growing.

That is the way (especially in the beginning) : try multiple IM related methods (takes time and a lot of efforts) and when you strike profits in any, then concentrate on those and scale them up.
Example : In my start of IM, I tried content writing, youtube, SEO and did not find much success in these, but I also tried CPA marketing and found some success, Then I quit content writing, youtube, SEO and concentrated only on paid CPA marketing and doing it right upto this day. Ofcourse, nowadays I also run 3 youtube channels (as AI has made it possible to create good videos quite fast).

The earning can be good from time to time in fact, but lockdown made the drawbacks apparent. Now I am housebound with an injured foot. And there’s also the supposed recession on the horizon to think about.

So that being said I will plod along in my spare time and see how it goes thanks for the insight and sharing your experiences !

As with everything in life, making money on internet requires a lot of trial and error, and no method will work for everyone or work as advertised. The more methods you try, the more you start to understand what is profitable for you and what is not. You can't know everything, so try to focus on some specific area of work (for example affiliate + social networks) and even then you are not guaranteed to make any money from it. If you really need money fast or to survive, IM is not a good option, because rarely you can make some crazy money and become rich overnight (as much as those who want to sell you a course would like you to believe), it is rarely possible. So in my opinion look it more as of hobby/something fun instead of trying to become rich of it, and you will eventually earn money.

I know this is kind of a joke post, but the question you're asking is a very common one.

A lot of people think that if they try one project and it didn't pan out, it's time to quit.

Well, let me ask you: Did you really try?

It doesn't really matter whether you got the information from a course or a free book you picked up on the Internet or some YouTube video.

The question is did you really try?

Did you break down the information into steps that you can understand and clearly follow?

Did you go through the steps?

Did you implement every stage?

Did you try to solve problems as they appeared?

If you answered no to any of these questions, then you really shouldn't quit because you haven't really tried.

Also, it's very important to try to fail quickly.

In other words, you know what steps to follow.

Hit them really hard.

Hit them quickly and try to get the results as far as you can.

And if things aren't working out, figure out why.

And this is the key to success.

It's all about failing quickly because the problem is people fail in slow motion.

They're waiting for somebody else to give them the answer.

They're waiting for money to come through.

They're waiting for people to appear so the failure that they could have benefited from hadn't happened quicker and didn't come to pass so you've stretched this on for years.

Don't do that to yourself!

Resolve to fail quickly.

Eventually, you will be able to figure out things that will work and you will achieve the success that you deserve.

At the end of the day, success (NO MATTER HOW YOU DEFINE IT) is a choice.
