So I got a couple friends of mine who do stylish and beauty blogging . I told them I can write an article for a backlink from them and they said yes.

But, my website is an Amazon affiliate website and my niche is outdoor

I don't care if I will get traffic from the but I was wondering is it a red flag to get backlinks from a totally different niche?

Of course, I will try to make the article more like " how to keep your face clean when using this tool "

I wouldn't if it was me. Niche is totally unrelated.

If you have a diverse link profile already then I don't see it doing any harm.

Personally I think it would work for you. If you don't care whether you get the traffic or not that's fine but they can do a few posts that might connect your niches. They may do posts with looks that are inspired by certain outdoor locations or " Get The Relaxed Look " posts where they may have models sitting on outdoor furniture that you may sell while in nice outfits or with make up looks that may pertain to their audience. They can do it as a look book and give a run down of the makeup used for the shoot, link back to outfit affiliates for the look and give a linkback in the image to your site for the furniture. ( I'm assuming your site sells furniture and outdoor items).

A link is a link. One backlink from an unrelated site wont have any negative affect on your website.

You can also write the article connecting the two niche. For example, "how it is important to be stylish when you do outdoor sports" ;)

Won't harm you in any way, but you'll also need to limit the effort you'll be exerting, especially considering how big your friends' websites are.
