Should I get High DR low traffic links?

I am building a target list of blogs to outreach for a client.

Should I target blogs that are high DR (DR 60 to 70) but low traffic (10k to 20k)?

Is it worth it?

Yes, High DR blogs have quality backlinks to them, that transfer the link juice. It is all a matter of priority. A 50 DR blog with 100k traffic is better than a DR 55 blog with no traffic. But if the DR gap is high (a gap of 15 and above i'd say), the higher DR one should get the priority.

A lot of people seem to think so. I'm on the other I end, I own such a blog and many people buy from me

I think perhaps Google does care about a websites reputation. Because my website could be better maintained, but it's spoken about in major publications every now and then. So it has a real world reputation, and my ranking won't go down even if I stopped writing. Pretty interesting

The question is, does your client appreciate that some sites might have a high DR but not actually be that powerful? If all they are focusing on is DR/DA then they will likely want to see a list with high DR/DA. If you can educate them that traffic and quality RD's is key, they will be more accepting of a lower DR/DA mixture in the list you build.

Prefer High DR and High Traffic site, but those links are also worth having.
 
Everybody prefers high DR/high traffic, but even 20k traffic is something. It means 600-700 users per day.

I think it's feasible, provided that the domain was not an expired one "launched" a couple of months back and that it had this traffic levels for a few months.
 
@akshay gupta Besides giving weightage to domains with Higher DR and possibly higher traffic, I will also consider if those domains are authoritative and congruent / suitable to relate with your client’s niche. That too is equally imp.
 
I think it depends about what you want to focus on right now.

If it is to have more traffic directly, it is better to have a link from a website that has a lower DR but more traffic

If you are in a process to build your authority, better to have links from an old and maybe less visited website.

At the end it is all about consistent good links in a longer time span
