Where we live isn't the best of places and I'm trying to get a concealed weapons permit for possible situations that may occur while with the family. Should I get one? My wife didn't want the thing in the house and of course she won't want me bringing it with us...how many of u guys carry?

Yeah, sure, if it makes you feel safe and makes you feel like your family is safer, go learn how to use a firearm (just assuming you don't for safety reasons) and when it comes to storing it...I dunno...Put it on a toy boat floating in your bathtub and invoke maritime law or international waters.

Here in the UK, we dont have a gun culture and not even police carry guns - But with your situation, i'd buy a one, and keep it in your house just in case... but i wont carry it round though, - either way make sure you take some lessons if you do get a one - family comes first and you have every right to protect them.

i have a license because i work in a rough neighborhood. plus it makes me feel better being in my house by myself as a female even though i live in a good neighborhood. i keep a couple in the house and one in my desk at work.

Actually some police do, they are called firearms officers and in order to get on it, you have to have been in the police department for at least 2 years.

Are you allowed loaded open carry? Ive seen some YT videos where they only let you open carry unloded, which I can't see the point of.
