Not really — deleting old shorts doesn’t change much. Just keep posting new, engaging ones; consistency helps your channel grow more.

It is not going to make any difference to how the channel is going to be treated.
It may sound like the logical decision to delete and only keep fresh videos but YouTube tends to frown upon deleting videos. So instead of deleting underperforming videos, you can just hide them. Set them to private and keep it moving.
