Should I Create a New Channel?

Hey guys, I have a personal channel in my niche I want to get back into using. It's ~3 years old, 2k subs, 8 uploads (deleted the other 12 awhile ago).

My question is, I want to get back into it and trying to grow it much larger (organically, but I'll also implement a few black hat methods, because, why not?), BUT would I grow better starting a new channel, kicking it off with 2-3 videos with promo/ads and going from there or should I just pick up on my channel?

I'm more or less curious if the inactivity would cause a negative impact in analytics/ranking.... I'm not too YouTube shabby

Why not do both? See which one blows up bigger faster and then concentrate on that. Then you could send the active subs from one channel to the other. I think the age of the old channel will help a bit.

I think picking the old channel is good and best to go as I have experienced Google gives little privilege to Old accounts and channels.
Also since you already have some videos up and subs starting with a fresh would be a bad decision if you are not going to start with a new niche.

You can always test out and see how the new channel will grow applying your promoting techniques.
