Niche porn site (high volume, low competition), 8 months old. Built some backlinks manually (porn directories, forums). No bought links.

About 4 months in, the site peaked at 925 clicks in a day. Yesterday it had only 200 clicks.

I almost regret spending 8 months on promoting this site. Should I bother with it any longer? I don't think it's the Sandbox period (if that even exists), but nevertheless, I still entertain some hope that the site will magically jump to 2-3k visitors a day, or something.

Do some onpage & offpage SEO audit and identify your main issue and fix it. Continue your work.

I think you have to make some budget for your linkbuilding

Agree on budgeting for link building. It makes a big difference.

Keep working on it, mate. You can create more sites if you want but don't give up. These are good results. The traffic will blast one day, and you will be glad that you didn't give up.

The site is not yet reduced to zero. There is still some hope. But you have to identify the possible reasons for the downfall of traffic. Was that due to the Google update? Or was it due to any structural change you did on site? You have to figure it out.

The decision of whether to continue with the site or not also depends on if it earns a revenue or not? Do you still see some potential that it will earn any revenue?

let a comment section to know what is going on that might give you some ideas about what is happening individually, maybe there are not enough categories, or the quality of the videos are not good enough, I believe might be more of on page SEO.
