Should I continue with this keyword? Need a bit help

Hey guys!

Finally I've decided to join the forum after a long time of reading and studying. I have experience in websites and other computer related stuff, but lately I've been reading a lot about SEO and I have decided to go and try my best.

Thanks to so many wonderful threads here, I've managed to find a keyword, which I think it is good enough to start. But I need some help.

Exact searches:
Global Monthly Searches 1900
Local Monthly Searches 1000

31,200 results

.org and .net are available .

I think with enough work I can rank this as there's only PR 1 and 0 on the first page.

I even found a related product on Clickbank, which I think it's a good way to promote this keyword.

Should I go with it ?

For me it is too low searches. But if you are just starting that's ok. Make sure that this is exact match searches, and check if traffic for that keyword is stable via google insights. Use "keyword" while searching in google insights.

yeah, i think too that the search volume is a little bit too low but since you are just starting in SEO you should give it a trial I think. You will learn a lot.

After this question another one will come to your mnd and you say..hay this is RISKY.. let me ask first then take ACTION.

Am not going advice you to use search on this forum..as many would spam you with.
Instead.. go and target that keyword and see what will happen.
In best results you will make like 5-6$ a day or every 10 days.
In worst results you will lose like what.. 20$ for hosting blabla.. but you will learn somthing...

Maybe the keyword is low on searches, but I still need to improve my keyword researching skills. Thanks to all for the replies!

Alright guys! I took action, and I have to say that I'm impressed with the results so far. It's been a week, and I'm already ranking on the 6th position for the main keyword, which according to google keyword tool has around 2900 exact monthly searches.

I did good on-page seo and some social bookmarking by myself, but I know that in order to see good results and hopefully a sale, I need to rank on the 1st position. Now I'm thinking in ordering a fiverr gig to boost my ranking.

Should I order more social bookmarking or a SB blast to get more backlinks ?
