    Hey guys,

I have been using a windows dedicated server for almost a year now, I'm paying $200 every month for it.

Now, I think, why not I buy a fast pc and get fast internet and stop paying for server. There is 50 mb download/20 mb upload speed internet package costing around $100/month, if I get this internet package and I get super fast pc.Do you think is there any reason I should be using windows server, I think it's really not necessary if I get a good pc and good internet connection.

Is there anyone who needs fast pc and internet resource but not using server as your system and your connection is fast enough ?

    Thanks

If the marginal utility of using the server is bigger than not using it, well... :)

What I mean is that if it helps you make money, you already know the answer. If it doesn't help you make money, you also already know the answer.

watch out your isp doesn't catch you running webserver from a residential conection - most of them don't allow this.

You might want to shop around too..I was paying $700 mo. for 3 high end servers and then found a better deal which is only $220 for same
