Should i choose page or post when creating Silos?

if i create a silo structure wesbite should i choose pages or posts when doing the interlinking between them and the homepage.

If i create a lot of pages i need to put them in the menu and the menu willlooking very weird because its to many pages, but with posts i can create one static page and then differents posts related to that page, and also doing the interlinking betweeen the home page and the posts.

Pages. Forget about posts, categories and tags. The main menu should have max 2 levels (for each silo in your site). Don't clutter the main menu, use additional menus in the sidebar to link to related pages.
