Should I choose copywriting as a career?

Hello,
I need your opinion please. I'm considering to learn copywriting and sell my services on Fiverr (maybe not a good choice but I'll hear your suggestions). I'm into affiliate marketing and I write my own copies and landing pages. I thought I could provide copywriting services as well. But I am thinking to learn more about copywriting and maybe get some credentials too? Is it required to sell services? If it does, which cours would you recommend? Does it matter if I college diploma or a master's degree? I'm not an expert. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

It's pretty difficult to make money from this, so I wish you all the luck!

Just start doing it, and give it a year to see if you can make some money.
 
If I was thinking about this I would also think about competing with AI. In the next few years it might be hard to compete with.
 
I will suggest but make a team or group of people who work together so that u can earn huge money in long term.
 
If you want to learn copywriting, you need to gain experience by selling products/services with door-to-door method. Academic books don’t help. And read Claude C. Hopkins’ book at least 7 times. Ogilvy’s books are also nice.
 
Claude C Hopkins book is amazing. Talk about a man who at the end of his life gave away the decades of his experience for future generations to go out and build upon that. Truly an amazing book. every time I read it I learn something. Its like living an extra lifetime.
 
Just start doing it. My copy writers friends said never learn anything serious. He just do it and learn by doing.
 
Copywriting is one of the greatest skills and definitely a very well paid job if you learn it. Just use google or amazon and you will find a lot of resources. I prefer books from Amazon.

So you don't know copywriting and you write copy for your own landing pages. That obviously doesn't work, so you want to become a copywriter instead. The answer is NO. It makes no sense. Try something you have more success at.

Depends if you're a native speaker or not, if not just master programming instead.
In my opinion, what hooked me onto internet marketing was my first $500 off selling articles, even back then I spent it all on weed and it lasted probably 3 months. best fucking feeling ever.
That's my plan at least, do it at your own discretion of course, because one thing I know is that the power to actually write properly is just disturbing. You could easily overcharge people and make them pay you insane amounts of money just by knowing how to twist words around.
If you're a native speaker like I am, grammar theories such as active / passive voice won't be familiar, even if you don't understand of ever heard about those theories it will relatively be easy to pick up.
Its a creepy powerful skills, knowing how to actually fucking write in a proper way is truly underestimated, the possibilities are endless. Even if you're a talented programmer you could get out played by someone in a few years, but the amount of native English speakers, and then the ones that actually commit to enhancing their English capapbilies is low. The average english speaker doesn't read or write at all, there's a whole different market where the whole Internet marketing world needs writers and when they find good ones they just throw 6 figure checks at them like its nothing.
No doubt programming is a beautiful skills but in my opinion finding a programmer isn't hard, and outsourcing them is even easier. The language barrier doesn't exist in programming like it does in being a good writer. THe power is just disgusting if you know how to write well,you could fucking sell words and then upsell those words and then convince people to do things and gain power that will eventually lead you to a point of so much power. you get what I mean

I write my own copies and I am making money :D Can't agree that I don't know copywriting. It's a skill and you never can't learn it all.

You dont know copy and youre not making any money. Dont fool yourself.
 
Unfortunately, there is no single established way to learn this art, nor there are any credentials that are widely accepted.

If you're new to writing, I would recommend Evan Kimbell's course on copywriting on Udemy. That course helped me a lot, personally, to polish my writing.

There's always demand for copywriters on Fiverr. But if you suck at it, no one would hire you. This is why it is crucial to have a portfolio, a proven work record, and practice. If you've become good at it, no one can stop you from making money in this niche.

If you want, you can even buy Fiverr reviews on BHW, which can give you a boost initially in your sales. But after that, it is your skill that matters.

I watched the video and read the book, thank you very much for the share. I am currently in the process of learning copywriting with cold email outreach, but my first blocker is that eng is not my native language and the second is that I have no copywriting skills. Although I have experience in cold emails and also researching for companies in any niche with any contact info, so at least something.

Since you shared one of the best reads about copywriting, I assume you are a copywriter yourself..so If you have anything else in your arsenal then I would be incredibly grateful
