*For privacy reasons, niche and domain name are changed slightly, but the idea is there.
I've wanted to start Blogging in the Gifts Niche, and originally wanted a domain name like "giftsfordads.com"
However, I've read some post on the benefits of expired domains (backlinks and getting out of sandbox faster etc), and decided to engage (paid) someone online to search for a better domain name, and making sure that it's not filled of spams etc.
The proposed domain name is spicypinkgifts.com. Below are the stats for the site.
I've decided to go ahead with Spicypinkgifts.com and started blogging for about 1month + now.
I've published about 10+ post so far using long tail keyword and low search volume, blah blah blah.
So far, none of the post are indexed (except for the main page), and there's zero views on my blog.
Well, I'm not upset about this, but somehow, I felt like I wanted to change my domain name to giftsfordads.com as it suits my niche a lot more (assuming my blog mainly post about gifts for dads and only dads, like all sorts of dads example).
So, I felt like if I were to change my domain name, this would be the best time before my blog gains any traffic or traction.
Can anyone advise me, if changing the domain name is a good idea.
I plan to monetize by affliates and ads, so I won't be selling any product. (In this case, a branded domain name wouldn't matter as much for me)
Thanks!
