Alright, so almost everything I read here is about backlinks, but should I bother buying traffic for my website? I'm starting up a new niche site, and was wondering if driving some targeted traffic to it will help it start up faster or not. I've already bought a high PR service for it and have it backlinked on about 10 sites. I'm still new at this, and I'm eager to see some visitors on my site. I don't know if I should wait for the backlinks to kick in and drive its SERP up, or do some more work. Thoughts?

Unless the traffic you are buying is targeted, you are pretty much wasting your money.

Put a throw-away budget together ($100-$350) and go after long-tail keywords for ppc. Also, make sure to install conversion tags. You should be able to find a niche within..then scale from there..
Well if its shit traffic don't buy it. And if you are thinking of making money though adsense then no f@cking way. But if you're selling services and affiliate products and you have some money to spend then YES of course. Buy Adwords, Bing, Yahoo Traffic. They want this, and will rank your site higher via SERPS either intentionally (no way to know for sure) or just because you'll have more targeted hits without the bounce rate. If you're talking about just redirected traffic and the like stay the hell away from it.

Buying traffic is still good, unless you are running Adsense which risks your account getting banned. Now whether you should buy it, it's up to you, are you looking to skyrocket your visitor count or mainly to get more conversions? PTC/PPV/adfly like sources are highly untargetted waste of bandwidth. PPC/media buys/niche blog posts are good if you got the money.
People might dissuade you from buying untargetted traffic because it raises the bounce rate and the negative user experience bar which may or may not affect your search engine rankings negatively.

I think buying traffic not direct convert to real visitor, suppose anyone provide you 5k visitor one day that means per visitor less then sec. that's means you not get any real visitor. I will suggest not buying traffic focus on only creating quality backlinks.
