Should I buy this site?

How are you?

I'm with a lot of doubts and would like your opinions.
I'm an older worker with Internet. I'm python programmer, but i'm a newbie on IM. In fact, I started to study around this theme since six months ago and now, in 2017 i'm started some projects to put in practice this knowledge that I acquire.

So, this weekend I see an site flipping offer that seems to be good.

In resume, the owner earned $250/month (BRL converted). In January his gain was $310. His gains was providing by sales of graphic models that you can reuse. The site sells graphic models of flyers and contact cards.

All traffic is organic traffic. Last month has had 10k visitors. The site can have REALLY IMPROVEMENTS that will improve the earns. The owner knows very few about SEO and other forms to get traffic.

The domain was registered in March 2015.

The site price is $3500.

My doubts are: The site really worth this amount? Can I up an site from zero and get these same results in a short period (six months +-)?

Can you help me, guys?

Sorry.. i didn't mean direct sales as the type of sale.
The sales system is totally automated.

Try digging around for hidden PBN links. The last thing you want to happen is for the owner to remove the PBN links and your brought site loses all traffic

I've heard a general rule of thumb that a site's valuation should be 10 times it's monthly revenue. So in this case that would be $2500, not $3500.

I personally think even 10x is a bit too high. There can be a lot of uncertainty in this business, how far back do you have the history? Did he just tell you he made $250 a month and then show you the actual number for January? Seeing hard data for one month does not mean every month will necessarily be like that.

All that being said, I don't want to discourage you. If you have a good 'gut feeling' about it and you are excited about spending a lot of time and effort working on this particular site, then go for it. You'll learn a lot in the process no matter if this one succeeds or not. It depends on how much you can afford the risk.

Good luck, and don't give up! It usually takes a few failures before you find something that works for you.

How can I do this?

This site have good potential, 9900,8100 ... searches can give you nice income.Except keyword wasn't free hd wallpapers...

In according with the current owner, he can prove all earns.

Ask the Seller. I think this is the only way.

Ok that's good that he can show more than one month history. Still I think $3500 is too high, that will take over a year to recover, at the current rate.

If you have a good plan to monetize the traffic in a better way than he currently is then go for it.

I personally think you'd be better off spending that money trying to build something for yourself and learning in the process. Because you'll probably have to spend more money anyway to improve upon the site as it is, which means it will take even longer until you recover your money. ..But maybe others would disagree.

I have a domain that I bought for $0.99 on Black Friday with these stats in the web/graphics design niche:

Page Authority 24
Page MozRank 4.28
Page MozTrust 1.74

Domain Authority 9
Domain MozRank 3.56

I haven't even started to do anything with it yet. How much would it be worth if anyone could help?

Ok based on those site worth numbers (not sure how accurate they are to be honest) it confirms he is charging too much. Only one number is higher than $3500 so better to trust the rest that say it's much less.

- How long can be the period that I can start rank decently?

It was an expired domain.. I bought it because it was a web design company that folded
