A guy from Germany offered me a 301 redirect ******** link on a big german newspaper site (DR 91) for 100$. My website is also german. Is this a good offer? Can this link give my website a good boost?

Is a direct link from the site not okay? Well, I've not tried something like this before. But anyways, I'll love to hear what happened when you do this.

But from SOME bloggers I've heard this from, it usually works.. But the article is usually in the same niche and it's usually an old link.. Not just a newly created one.

I also wonder how he does it.. How can this guy just edit an article on such a big newspaper and insert my link? Would be awesome if I could to this myself somehow

Make sure he's not trying to sell you a redirected scraped/dropped domain or something silly like that.

Make sure to make an in depth scan before decide give it a go...

things that you need to keep in mind before investing a lots of money in these type of links -
1. check the specific URL backlinks through Ahref
2. check the specific URL is at least 3-4 months old and indexed on google
3. check if the site DR is original or manipulated
4. spam score

Does the redirect make sense? this is where TF comes into play. If your website and the redirect are not the same niche/topic then there is a high chance that shit may hit the fan.

Is the redirect from the newspaper site or a domain which the newspaper links to.

I don't think the newspaper will redirect to your site.

But a link on any big newspaper site is always good in my opinion.

Yeah its from a domain which the newspaper links to. Still good?

Then check the overall backlink profile of the said domain.
Always know that sometimes 301 redirects turn out to be useless.

This changes everything. Don't do it. a 301 for just one link is not worth it. If you want to go this route, find a domain that has links from not only that newspaper but also other authoritative websites. Then do a redirect, as long as there is topical relevancy, you should be good.

The guy uses expired domains, registers them and redirects to my website. Article is relaed to my niche.

My opinion would be a direct link will help more than redirect

It's good only if the site has relevancy, a good number of links, and less spam score. Not advisable for long term results.
