Should i be worried about my domain name?

Hello, i recently bought a domain name for my news blog, but i found out that there is a website that has a similar name to mine, except theirs has one less letter. Should i be concerned that if people try to go to my site they will misspell and go to the other site? Btw their niche is totally different from mine.

This happens with so many domains, imagine the number of people who probably misspell Google. Just focus on marketing your brand for now as I assume that most of your traffic will come from links anyway.

Actually, I know a guy that owns Goggle.com and make $5k a day simply from people mis-typing google.com

That domain isn't like cat.com where it's generic but is obviously niche. At this point you obviously won't have much of an issue since the site is new. However, if you are planning on really building up the branding on this site, then yes absolutely it will be an issue in the long-term.

You would get benefit too, if their visitors miss-spelt and and came to your site..

However, if you have built brand name with an unique logo then visitors would know you form that logo as well and if they miss spelled then they would correct...

Once your site gets big enough and it becomes of value to you, you can easily go and buy the domain from them.
