I'm getting mixed answers on google whether or not I should be taggng these links nofollow or not.
(I haven't tagged any nofollow yet) Will this affect my seo negatively? what's you opinion?

I'm tagging them all as nofollow. All of them, except in each post i'm making links to other blogs and I make them follow. For diversity and it's more natural.

Could you go into detail as to why I should be?

Great question. I was asking myself yesterday the same thing too. If they are do follow, they would pass link juice to amazon, but since it doesn't need it(we are talking about amazon here), it's better to no follow them and keep all the power to you.

Since you have a "base" link juice to your website, this means that by no following (even if you don't have any backlink), in theory, you should see even a slight boost in ranking.

In fact, I'm going to change all my links and see if there's any boost in ranking.

Simply there is no point to give amazon more power & link juice. You're competing with them in serps

Okay so that makes sense, but does it effect me negatively? Following yoast seo when posting,it tells me its a good thing to keep them do follow.

You should nofollow your affiliate links always.
