I've heard people losing lots of money due to leveraged trading. Seems very risky to me, but the reward is great. What shall I do?

Cryptocurrency is like gambling.

Add leverage and it becomes like gambling blindfolded.

If you like thrill in your life and aren't scared of losing money, go for it.
If you want to save money and don't know what you're doing, skip it.

On long run you will lose money either way. There is one thing that you cannot skip to become a profitable ( I aint gonna tell you that ). Use leverage, play small and never think oh im gonna make big money doing this. Never put your savings into it. Its matter of time before you blow your account. Its not on you -> you need to blow it ( thats how it is ). Whats on you is how long can you go trading without blowing.
Can you make money -> yes to some degree but you need at least one year, every single day working and learning and even than your shot is suppper slim for doing so.
Dont focus on youtube, all of them are scammers making money from courses. Most famous " trader " Ricky Gutierrez is using different kinds of overlays on screen to fake everything. He's is making money from " oh im legit trader i bought Porsche, go buy my course " ( look price of that course ). I can go all day, anyway just play with 1% per trade, keep you dreams and expectations down. It will be easier for you later on.
Dont even bother with small timeframe because just dont, 1HR and up. DO NOT use indicators ( waste of time and opportunity, DO NOT use some stupid strategies and shitty indian scammer bots, or any any of that. Just support and resistance and all that goes with that, entry, stops and other stuff.
Im like no one for now, you dont have to take a shi* from this but hey been there done that.
I got like 1 million things to say on this theme but i dont have much time so, cheers mate and good luck on your journey.

Nope nope nope. You'll regret it in the end. At least that's what happened to most newbies.

While I agree with most of what you say, I don't agree with one thing "not going to lower timeframes". It's way easier to do 20 scalps at 1 minute timeframe, win 15 of them and stop trading for the day and use your other time for analyzing your winning trades (don't bother to overanalyze your losing ones). Trading on higher timeframes (1H, 4H, 1D etc.) exposes your trades for longer periods and emotions might kick in if you are not experienced trader.

Never use margin, crypto is too volatile and you'll get liquidated even with a good TA

You can use it if you know what you are doing. It's not like, you will get a big-time loss or anything. It's a risky thing, all you need is "stop loss" and good chart reading skills. Plus Crypto is highly volatile right now, so think twice before you enter. Regular share market is good option.

The odds are not in your favor with leveraging for crypto. As others have said, it is too volatile. It would be all to easy for you to screw yourself over big time! Don't do it!

There are some good bots out there. Bots trade leverage better.

Trading is something you can learn to be safer at (not go negative in a single trade) but its not something you can learn to do in a printing money kind of way.
There is too much luck involved. Be safe and stay away from margin and options and crypto unless you are willing to lose everything you put in and more.

If you do have that tolerance for risk you can go for it but there are safer ways to gamble. Go to vegas and drop it all on black.

Fastest way to clean up your account balance.
I mean come on.. crypto is already volatile enough. Crypto can do 10-30% gains in just one night, why bother for leverage?

How can i learn to leverage 50x correctly? I try Binance now but complicated

My friends double their money using leverage. They lose also, but they snort cocaine and set lever to 100.
If you do it drug free, you may stay some chances of making 20 - 30% weekly with medium risk.
You must know what you are doing a little bit.

Leverage trading is actually a scam. Exchanges liquidate you if they can by manipulating the price. That's why sometimes you see sudden peaks with strong ups and downs. It means the exchange liquidated someone.

Use this to your advantage through spot trading.

If you need to ask that, it means you do not have the sufficient knowledge on how to use it.

Leverage is for experts - once you can safely say that you are expert in regular trading, then you can start considering leverage. Key thing you need to understand from it is that it allows you to lose more than you invested. A lot more.

If you ever start with leverage, begin from normal stocks. They are for more predictable and stable for learning purposes.

If you don't know what you're doing yes you should avoid leverage. It can eat your money at a wrong turn.

Yes it's very risky. The key is don't play with emotions and don't be greedy. Remember to take profit.
