Should I add 3000 words posts or many 500 - 600 words posts ?

Hi there,
I have a 7-month-old website with around 30 posts. It's an amazon affiliate website. The problem is writing content takes a huge amount of time for me.
So, I was thinking about doing keyword research and picking a lot of low competition (0 volume) keywords and adding a lot of posts in the 500 to 600 words range.
Then, I will pick those that ranks and add more content to them.

Does this sound good? Will it cause any harm?

3000-word post is almost guaranteed to be better. There is a strong correlation between the length of the post and PageRank.

I mean should I post 1 3000-word post? or post like 10 500-600 words posts and pick the one that ranks and add more content to it (optimize it)

Hey man, couldn't help to notice that you're trying to do the same as me (or maybe you read my journey post or spectrejoe's). I think it's a great idea for 0 vol keywords.

I think 3k words article is great when the keyword/s already have some competition, ideally you try to outrank a 2k words article, but for 0 comp 0 vol keywords it's not necessary to write that much to rank.

You should check for what is being ranked per keyword. If 500 words is the average for a certain keyword, it can tell you that either 3k words is an overkill or that google think that shorter articles provide better user experience for some searches.

I think you don't really get what I am thinking of. I am planning to post a lot of articles in the 500 - 600 word range. Then I will wait for a month and pick that once that ranks in the first 50 in google. Then, I will add more content to it (2000 - 3000 words), so I can get to the first page.

You're right, I had that idea from someone's journey, but I don't really remember who.

@ahmedtarek8572 Google mostly likes lengthier content, Because it's easy to cover the whole topics and ideas, But 500 to 600 words also the decent word count, So you should not worried about the word count, Must concentrate the Keyword research and user engagement keywords. It'll help to rank you in a good position.

Depending on your niche, and post type, I mean every question/query demands a different kind of answer, obviously, you should write in the ideal word limit, it will rank you fast, but for some specific short questions, you can write 800 to 1k words.

If your keyword is already ranked, it's not essential to write 3k words. But if you want to add some important point to that, you can do that. It will have some meaning to your content.
