Should High PR links always be pointed to $ KWs?

Always been curious about this but haven't found an answer anywhere. If i'm keeping brand anchors at 50%, naked url at 30% and 20% money keywords, does it make a difference if the High PR links are pointed at the naked url or the money keywords?

I'd assume the link juice is not correlated with the anchor. Just looking for a good answer for this. Thanks guys.

I tend to use my highest power links for exact keyword anchors, and the rest for diversification. It just makes sense to me to do so.

Agree with Tony D, why waste your money on the keywords your not going after with the good links when the diversity should be with the money links. The only thing I would do is use your raw url with a few of the high powered money links once in a while IMO...

I use exact anchor match for my PR links and use brands and naked URLs for other links for diversification to diluet my anchor text ratio.

The question I have is does it really make a difference if you use exact anchor match on your PR links? I've seen some sites ranked with 0% anchor text ratio. They just got really good links from high authority sites. And they can literally rank with just on-page SEO alone.

Anyone else encounter this?

What percentage of exact anchors do you use? I tend to go for 10%. (So far I made 10 link to a site with just one being exact match).

My opinion is to mix it up. If you are going for medium term at least. Probably different for churn and burn. But seriously, I get paid to build stuff that will stick around for a while, and
a lot of times 2 or 3 really good high pr links with 1 of them having anchor and 1 branded and one naked, supplemented with tiered links where maybe 10-20% has a healthy variety of anchor text and the rest are either branded or naked gets me enough traffic to feed a family of 5. When it doesn't, I rinse and repeat. Learned that trick from a bottle of Pantene when I was a kid and had long hair LOL

Yes this is pretty much standard SEO these days. Except I never build money term anchors anymore. So say my keyword is link building and my domain is Laubster.com. My anchor would be: link building at Laubster.com (or something like that). It's working quite well for me now.

I these days mostly use citations in the mix like, blah blah blah keyword domain.com

It depends to a large extent on the existing profile of the website. If it has no links at all, I'd tend to be on the conservative side, perhaps down around 10%, or less. If it's an established site, with hundreds of links, and random anchors, I'm not shy in building a high percentage of exact match anchors from my high value links, because they're being diluted anyway.

Most probably get the link for exact KW for high DA sites. But it not easy, it all depends upon the website guidelines. I try to get a link for exact KW if i can't i will ask him for generic keyword / Brand Name.

I mix it up, some high PR links from my PBN have main kw as an anchor text and some are just generic and long-tailed phrases. Using a brand name also works good. Just from what I saw by looking at MajesticSEO links for many websites links are usually the brand name or phrases/words related to the website. Haven't see many main kw anchors.
