I'm new to this forum so of course this controversy caught my eye immediately. From someone more or less on the outside looking in I am having a hard time understanding what all the fuss is about. First off, unless some posts have been deleted, I can't find where this Clayton guy was actively promoting his membership anywhere on this forum, and believe me, I've looked for it. The only references I can find directly from him were in defense of his program to some of the comments made by others. What I have been able to find basically boils down to this:
Two members of this forum seemed to be promoting Clayton's membership site as affiliates. One of them, Smitty, discovered some additional information at some point and decided to stop promoting it. What I'm really curious about is the other member of this forum, Monty, who was not only promoting it but gave an endorsement/testimonial regarding how great Clayton's membership site really is. No one seems to be too bent out of shape about this. In fact, it seems like a good portion of this forum are currently giving him props and support in his endeavor to quit his day job. Seems a bit hypocritical to me that no one is calling Monty out on this.
So what is Clayton really being banned for? He was not actively promoting his membership on this forum. Others were. So am I to assume that if I were to promote some product or membership on this forum as an affiliate, and the owner of this product or membership did not want to share it with the moderators of this forum, then you would all clamor to have this owner banned from this sight?
I agree with Metalan1 that this whole situation seems ridiculous.

I certainly see your point and it is a pretty good one. As I said in the other thread, giving my testimonial without a full and thorough review of the product was a bad idea. I thought so at the time, and I certainly think so now. Why did I do it? Well, I don't know. This is the point where my mother would say, "If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would YOU do it too?"

One or two people really seemed to think it was legit...and they gave a testimonial too although Clayton just didn't use it for whatever reason. So I did it.

At the time, the program seemed like the real deal to me, based on the limited pieces of it that I had seen. You have to admit, in the "Tour" section, there is an ass-load of information in his package. (huh huh, he said "package")

One of my friends here told me that he was already banking a pretty hefty amount of coin on just one of the 'preview' methods. I knew this method was a little stale but, hey, I figured there must be a great "twist" to it. There really wasn't, in the end, however. Still, remember, someone WAS banking pretty heftily on one of these methods. Is it a 'scam'? I still don't know for sure, but the warning seemed appropriate.

Luckily, we caught wind of all of thise before the release and before any of you spent your money.

As for the ban, I say let him come back in and dig himself out. He also needs to post in Buy, Sell, Trade....but REMEMBER, Clayton did not start that thread. He merely came in to defend it.

I am NOT defending Clayton's program in any way, I am simply pointing out the facts.

If it's a scam, we'll know soon enough.

Monty: Nice, prompt response. At least you?re honest. A lot of guys would be hiding under their desks. There?s a few good lessons in here for all of us.

This started with mystery income, which he promoted outside of the BST in a manner that was fitting for BST. He acted like he was going to follow the rules, letting an admin/mod review the site to place on BST, but then backed out of that. He switched to income greed and got smitty and Monty to give a review, then, when pressed for more info and a look inside by the two he balked again.

This has nothing to do with the sig links, so that is a moot subject.

Metalan1, he didn't post in BST he opened the thread about his program in another category hence circumventing the bst fee. You can have whatever you want in your signature, what we are discussing here is not income greed, it is for his first product mystery income. He clearly did not follow the rules, one by listing it in another thread category other than bst to get "interest" and then not allowing at least one admin or mod access to look at his material. It may seem stupid to you guys but it's in your interest so no one gets suckered into worthless shit.

Yea..

That's what I was wondering. I didn't know he posted a thread to garner interest in his product...

I just didn't see it anywhere. I however still do not think a permanent ban should bei n place. I think he should have time to prove himself.

I really don't think a permaban is necessary.

I mean if he comes in here starting some shit and claiming that his information isn't just rehashed stuff found elsewhere then you can ban him for good.

Do you really think anything he says in here will change anything? I don't.

Clayton had showed me one preview method before I decided to promote it and that method was making me money for a couple months now so I figured the rest of his info would be legit. He just kept telling me that it was just a sample of what he would be training.

Then after a while I started thinking what the heck the rest of the info could be and if it could just be re-taught things off other sites. So when I started to press him for a login I kept getting the same response. "You can see in the club after launch." Aka, let me take peoples money then you can see that my stuff is just replicated info.

Personally I believe the reason he wouldn't let me in is because he knew I would find out the material is freely available anywhere else. So when the pressure was applied I started to see all the cracks. Him telling me he made all his money through media buying then later claiming it was a different method. How is he going to train you on things he doesn't even use?

All this info should be dropped into the other thread, sorry for getting off topic.

Don't get on Monty for doing a testimonial, after what he saw of the coaching program most everyone would think the rest of the stuff is legit too. It isn't his fault in the least that he was deceived.

Lately, there is too much drama going on here. Shady programs, testimonials and fingers pointing followed by flushing trust down the toilet. Guess what's coming next?
If things don't change, and fast, I see BHW closing. Just my 2 cents.

I'd like to clarify some thing for those who are still wondering about the results of the poll, which is around 80+% Yes and 20-% No.

The purpose of banning is not to punish one, but it's to protect the rest of us.
Banning is one of the last measures if milder actions failed to bring about the desired condition. BHW shall not be the place where those spending their hardly achieved dollars to be deceived. If you want to finance a banned person, do it by buying his shit via any of the deceivers' phorums. I like BHW as it is, and I wouldn't feel good if moderators were more permissive. You can be smart to make nice profit via BHW, just respect the few rules of the game that we agreed at the time we started to be active members of this community. If one can't abide these rules, then probably this place is not good enough for him.

I'm sure about 80% of the voters can agree most of the time with what I said, and the remaining 20% just felt sympathy for the person in case for some reason.

(About 18.5~20% of any human group also like the beautiful justifications for the failures that time to time "occur" in life. Not surprizingly, the same 18.5~20% are prone to be hypnotized and to accept easily other responsibility than their own.)

However there will be some who will not like my words, but I am aware about one can't please everybody (unless he likes to ask for a licence to exist all the time and from every one), but doing good for the community is more important than being loved by 100% of the community. I've put my vote to the poll.

If you want to vote and you didn't, just vote now at the top of the page.

If you want to add some more justifications, you can do that too, but the trend of the poll doesn't seem to change much from the expectable trend of the human behavior of a normal group of the inhabitants of the planet Earth, even though a very select group like BHW.

Don't worry Gerula, moderators are doing well their job, who has to say something will say it, and the BHW will continue to prosper with a couple of banned members less, and those who can't fit in BHW still have thousands of other choices to grab some attention and some bucks (but not on the cost of the good members of BHW).

I joined BHW a while back....with high hopes and expectations....
I donated to this forum.
I've learned from this forum.
I've went through some of the the most extreme emotions, Emotions of joy and laughter, emotions where I felt my heart is expanding and my head spinning... real moments of exhilaration reading this forum.
I became obsessed with this forum, spending hours a day on it...reading...learning....posting...

UP TO NOW.

Threads like this one make me think twice...Makes me think if I still belong here...and its quite a shitty feeling....

You see...I've seen all kinds of posts posted on this forum, along the way ....some "worse" than Clayton's and no one said a word....

Suddenly BAN is a magic word.

Members that I learned to admire ...became part of the crowd...and "YA..Lets BAN"... became part of there jargon.

Good and appreciated members (and Mods) that were once a leading force and part of the landscape in this community...left the forum...(or were told to leave...???)

Things are changing in the forum that I once so loved...still love...and I just hope it will get back to its senses...

Well... I don't know if what I said makes any sense ...but just wanted to share my feelings...

I voted don't ban and even think the 7 day ban was unjustified. I follow a lot of the threads on here, read most of them and never saw him blatantly advertise anything. Yes he did a little hype up thread and was flamed, but he didn't sell anything technically so all the extra bashing was unjustified. I understand he flaked out on reviews more than one and he's an asshole for that, but none of these things are really bannable (is that a word?) offenses. He never technically tried to sell anything here. I don't know Clayton at all and I'm not on his side, but at the same time he hasn't done anything to deserve a ban.

Most people that voted don't know the story and just voted ban because the sheep follows the herder. Controversial threads shouldn't be closed either, but of course I'm not an admin and don't make those decisions.

Clayton at best is a flake and he could even be a fraud, but I haven't seen that he broke any forum rules. Even if he sold all rehashed material that is proven to make money, that doesn't make his program fake or bad.

If you work hard enough just about any technique will make you money. I'm not saying it will be a good value for your money, but it's not a scam since they are proven money making techniques. Of course I don't know what's in the program so it's buyer beware like every other unreviewed or tested offer.

Think you really hit the nail on the head with that comment.

If you think about it 99% of the ebooks and systems out there are rehashed junk its like selling a pinto with a new paint job anyone want to buy? If you just spent the time on here and work you're ass off you would never need to buy another system again. You're own brain is powerful enough to come up with twist on a old systems and even news ways of making money just need some inspirations and a starting point. And you can get it all "Here" for the low low price of....YOUR TIME!

I think the admin has done a good job of protecting members. Rule is rule. Just play by it.
