Hi Everyone,

1) Regarding niche edit / curated links especially when we are approaching new bloggers, it is necessary for us to ask them to update some sentences in article which we are going to have our link inserted as part of a niche edit / curated link or is it fine if they just insert our link inside their article without updating any sentences?

From what I read, there are some SEO (for example on stuartcmchenry website) mentioning that if only the link is updated but nothing else is updated (for example, no content or sentences is being updated), then it would look very unnatural in Google's eyes. Is that true?

2) For those that had done niche edits whether it is for themselves or their clients, could you please share your experience on the effects of only the link being updated VS link + some sentences updated in the article?

3) If a few sentences should be updated, is it sufficient if just 2 sentences out of a whole article be updated?

4) And just a side question, in terms of SERP effect, would niche edit or guest post generally cause a better SERP increase assuming all other factors remain equal (for example, same site metric, same price etc)?

Thank you very much.

I think you should also add some sentences. This way you tell Googlebots, the content is updated.
