If you're someone who can present knowledge on BHW or maybe you created a cool thread that gets some attention, or maybe your selling a service and get LOTS of PM's! Either way, you might of come across multiple people PM'ing you the same questions, or maybe users will ask questions multiple times on your thread.

I think we should add a fast response function, so we would click a button and pull up a set of responses we set up so we don't have to repeat ourself and end up with arthritis. ;)

Agree or disagree?

Why?

This is already built into the site.

@Sherb said it best in your last thread.

Ownership will rarely take suggestions that require any code changes if thy don't provide a fiscal response

The irony here is amusing. You asked a question that has already been answered but want a tool to help avoid this very issue of asking a question that's already been answered.

This is clearly not a Fast Response Function...
Are you hitting the Enter key, after typing in your question?

Not sure about your internet connection, but mine gives responses almost instantly. Instant is pretty fast by definition. And with 2 million members, I bet your question has already been asked. Just type it in, and hit enter. I promise it's faster than making a new thread with a poll, for every question that you have.

What you need is this extension : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/text-blaze/idgadaccgipmpannjkmfddolnnhmeklj/

or this one : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/prokeys/ekfnbpgmmeahnnlpjibofkobpdkifapn

Nope. Nothing...

That's irrelevant! OP is talking about the fast response function like the one smart phones provide:

With that being said I don't see any necessity for this change . If a member is too lazy to read the thread's replies then that's his fault. Not yours. Not ours. The other way round replying with the same answer to the same question many times would be like spamming seriously.

@William702 almost never answered a question twice in his AMA's thread

You should just reply with something like this:

Yes it has been answered a few times. There are also two other pinterest threads I started, they too have good info from questions that have been asked so I would suggest taking a look at those as well.

It's a no from me.

Only function we need here is downvote for threads like this one. But there is one option I like the most on BHW

OT:

Buddy, this is a forum, simple and clean forum for years, we managed to learn from here over the years without any fancy things, and that's what gives this forum life actually. Don't go and turn this forum into a client panel or fucking facebook. What is the problem to store your text for samples of your service on notepad and just paste it on the conversation? It's pretty clear again why you opened thread, don't pretend to contribute to community with ideas that are not relevant to this forum just to promote your services and your username and get exposure. Rather write some tutorials, case studies to get that exposure, and trust me it will be way more profitable than those kind of threads you open.

You would be surprised at how many times I have had to answer the same question multiple times. I tend to inform people I have already answered it these days and ask them to read through the whole thread but I also tend to try and answer several people all at once so that it's still only one post even if I have to address something again.

I know right! Personally, I use the search box I write some keywords related to my question I check "Search this thread only" and I often find the answer without asking.
