Shorts VS long-form

Are shorts actually worth focusing on anymore?

They're obviously easier to get views on but the subs I get from shorts barely seem to watch my normal videos.
Wondering if I'm better off putting that time into long form.

long form videos should be your main priority but you can't ignore the shorts as well. Use shorts for gaining traction, quick views and focus on diverting traffic to your main video. Since attention time decreases world wide. People tends to watch shorts more. You can get discovered there. so better take some advantage ffrom that.

shorts definitely gives you more views, people enjoy short hit of dopamine, you give them a big video they dont even consider it, they leave it halfway.

Shorts are useful as a discovery tool, but I wouldn’t spend all my time chasing Shorts views. If your goal is a strong, engaged audience, putting more effort into quality long form videos may be the better move.

it is actually funny how people just farm views with multiple devices and gain traction making brainrot AI content , gets them a lot of subs and money ofcourse

yea id say shorts are a good way to gauge what people will like. post 5-10 shorts see which one does the best then make it into a long form video.

shorts are still worth it, but if your main goal is long form growth i'd put more time into long form and use shorts mainly to bring new ppl into the channel.

I think shorts are still worth for growth, But we can't ignore the long form content. If you just want to work on shorts then you have to work on the opening of the video to make it more engaging otherwise its very tough to get subscribers on short form content you also have to work to make your content which actually helpful for audience or entertain them. If you work on both short and long form then its much easier to grow because shorts can earn reach and engagement and the long form can earn the watch time and loyal subscribers. So it depends upon you which strategy you want to go with to grow your channel.
