Well, I am able to monetize all my shorts videos (not with much success yet though), but the main catch is that you shouldn't use their audio templates and songs. I am using my own videos and songs and I can normally turn on monetization for all my shorts except those where I used copyrighted music from templates.

How did your channel got Monetization?
Was it full Shorts content or Shorts + Normal content?

Interested in knowing more since I saw a couple of shorts channel who post random shorts and are still monetized + Verified.

makes sense. I rarely see ads on shorts

There is no monetisation for YouTube shorts. I think he's talking about YouTube shorts fund but he has to have views in billions to even make minimum wage with it, its not viable.

Shorts are itself of few seconds. Where will they give ads ?

Even after monetizing shorts, it will pay very less as only one ad may be adds to it.

You cannot monetize shorts on YouTube profitably at the moment. You have to find better ways to monetize your shorts videos.
