Short Instagram usernames are in high demand, but most are already taken. The practical way is to create clean variations, monitor availability, or buy legally from trusted marketplaces. Avoid rented or hacked accounts, they often get banned and cause ad issues.
 
Advertise on BHW
Short ID accounts were provided to early Facebook Ads users; they typically had a spending history and were personal accounts. However, not many remain on the market. Currently, there is no way to create similar accounts anymore.
 
I'm also using a short ID account, but I don't see any difference.
 
You can post a request or search on forums where you need to buy or sell accounts; many people there will be able to help you.

Short ID ad accounts are individual ad accounts that were created a long time ago and have mostly been spent; this is a stable account type that greatly supports policy-violating ads.
 
Ad accounts with short IDs, which need to be linked to a business before they can start connecting pixels, are also good, but they can't be as good as large enterprise ad accounts.

They’re just rare usernames. Only legit way: try to claim an available short @ on IG (or rename your existing one). Don’t buy from sellers—often stolen and can get banned. Workaround: add a short prefix/suffix like “official / hq / get”.
 
Short IG usernames are usually old or premium handles, so the only legit way to get one is buying it from the current owner or using an aged IG account there’s no safe or official method to create them now.
 
Short Instagram usernames often come from old or previously registered accounts, so getting a short username nowadays means acquiring an existing account or username from a legitimate owner, rather than creating a new account.

Short IDs are IDs that were created a long time ago, but their function is the same as long IDs. Their strength depends on the Business Manager (BM).
 
I found the cleanest way is to create a new Instagram account and choose a short, available username, or buy an old Instagram page/handle with a real history from a reputable owner, which usually has full Business Manager/IG privileges.

Those short Instagram usernames are rare; if someone has one, it's because they registered it many years ago or bought it from someone else.
 
You can't create them now; these are advertising accounts created a long time ago, possibly from 2008, and accounts created since then are very rare. You can find them for purchase in the "Want to buy" category here.
