Hi BHW,
With reels, shorts, and stories everywhere, do you think short form content is taking over completely, or does long form still have a place?

They both have their places depending on your niche.

Shorts probably better for entertainment, Long form can be better for business/ education niche.

Short form is great for quick reach and discovery but long form still matters for depth and conversions so they really work best together rather than one replacing the other

Long form will always have a place, as not everything can be explained in a few seconds.
Also for entertainment purposes there'll be viewers on long video's too

shorts are easy to consume, easy to swipe away from, and perfectly built for fast dopamine hits, but long form imo are still king. you can use shorts to capture attention and lead people toward long form when they're ready to slow down and actually listen.

Short-form is definitely dominating attention right now because it’s easier to consume, cheaper to produce, and the algorithms push it hard. But long-form still has a strong place — especially for building trust, authority, and higher-intent traffic.

What I’m seeing work best is a mix: use short-form to attract and warm up audiences, then use long-form to convert, educate, and retain them. Different platforms + different stages of the funnel = different formats. The key is matching the content style to the goal rather than replacing one with the other

we have done a survey to get opinion from the clients. The results show that both content have been interested, it will depend on each person

Short form content can get you good exposure when you upload reels with trending music. It is good for agencies who have models.

Short term content works well if you are looking for quick exposure and engagement. It helps take advantage of trends and viral formats. However long term content helps establish you as a credible creator. It builds trust with your audience over time and usually brings more stable and higher quality revenue. Ideally using short content to attract attention and long form content to create long lasting value is the most sustainable approach.

short to get you eyes that you can then capture for your long form.

Short-form drives quick reach, but long-form still plays an important role in building trust, depth, and long-term audience loyalty.

Long-form still matters for depth, trust, and conversions, so the strongest strategies usually use both together.
