The question is, I've heard great experiences using shopify. I was wondering whether there was a smart way to implement a shopify account to a community-ish website? For example let's say you have a car community.

As I was already busy on a website, I thought that maybe instead of opening a random shopify, I could implement.

I don't get exactly what you mean, but shopify is more for shop purposes.

If you want to do something like that then if your theme supports it you can set up a woocommerce store, if you're using WordPress of course.

If you want a community then go for Wordpress/Woocommerce
Shopify will be good for your online store/E-commerce..

Also Shoppify will be more expensive in the long term. $30 or something a month would be $360 in a year and so on... WooCommerce would be my choice

You can add wordpress blog to your website, then fulfill your orders by a third part order fulfillment company, such as ChinaDivision, Shipwire and so on.
