I have seen many people says shopify is best for online stores. But it cost more. woocommerce is very much cheap.(shared hosting is very cheap. theme and plugins also cheap and one time cost only ) Some people says woocommerce stores are completely useless. Is that true?

No it's not true.
If you are a beginner or just lazy than shopify is better.
But if you know what to do woocomerce is a way better and cheaper

depends the level of headaches/learning and time you are willing to put in.
woocommerce is like photoshop, you can deliver amazing results but you need to do some manual and technical work with the tools and features of the program.
shopify is like those photography filters app, delivers ok results -in most cases- and all you need to do is click on the button saying '''sunset beauty''.

Shared hosting is cheap and very shit!! Especially doing e-commerce.
But for me WOO all day long over shopify because I own everything plus I consider myself quite experienced to work with WP and WOO. Shopify is indeed expensive and the prices of their themes are insanely expensive compared to when I used em once. Every is monthy subscriptions and most of the shops all look the same as a lot of beginners are on there. I must say they have an excellent customer support.
