If anyone has some experience, how much sales could I expect from 10 fashion accounts (male and female) and follower base of 70k different people?

And any other experiences on different niches and products?

Importing from China, and repacking at home in nicer packages.

    Thank you for help!

This all 100% depends on how active your following base is.

why dont you try and see?

i still dont believe one can sell directly to followers, until someone tells me so.

i just set up a vendio+tumblr archive (vendio is not mobile friendly) store with my IG (300 willing followers) a few days ago.

Will try, I was just asking if anyone has some experience and is willing to share :)

Not directly, sending them to website (maybe link in bio on few biggest accounts) through URL displayed on image.

what i meant by 'direct' is followers themselves being your buying customers.
i dont believe people follow with the intention of waiting in line for you to push hot products out so they can jump on it, unless you have such high authority.

If you're not botting on those accounts, I guess you're safe to add the links since this is no scam or something like that.

Try it and report back. :)

    Good luck!

Hmm, I still believe small percent of users might think about purchasing some products, if for example, 0.1% people decide to buy, that's about 70 sales, which isn't so bad for start.
Just gotta reinvest that money in shoutouts or direct marketing from other IG users who have some authority.

    Your thoughts?

I'd say it all depends on the prices, you will never know unless you test it.

but why don't you dropship directly? this will reduce costs for both you and your customers.

Only because of the packaging, which is thrown away anyways?

I mean, you'd need inventory and you'll need to ship them yourself, that might be a lot of work, depending on how many users actually buy.

but if you think it's worth spending your time and effort in doing that, go for it! don't wait, start!

i'd like to see you get the 'small' percentage. it'd be inspiring.

Well, I'll try it in a few months when I get stuff sorted out, I'll just grow more and more accounts until then.

    Followback, liking and few comments.

Lol, it's nowhere near that percent.
It's more like the amount of people who are engaging total, since you said 5% i'll use that as an example, 10 x 350 (likes based on 7k followers each acc with 5%)
3500 likes and maybe 5% click on your link (175 uniques) and about less than 1% will buy leaving you with an awesome 1-2 sales!
This is about as real as it gets, now UNLESS you have amazing fashion products and amazing prices, this is what you should expect

Oh, read this 0.1% on some thread here, I guess that member was wrong then.
Thank you for giving this (I believe) more accurate statistics.

You got any advices on driving more sales? I will also try both facebook and instagram ads and see if it drives sales.

thank you all for giving your opinions and pointing me in right direction!

Just gotta have unique products / and or good prices.
Also, as suggested, create more accounts and grow them bigger and you will see increased sales :)
Paid ads can definitely help too

I've read a study of one company that had a 0.2% conversion rate selling some sort of fashionable beanies or something, but this was youtube not Instagram. He asked youtubers to mention his products in their videos and from 500K views he had a bit over 1000 sales or something like that.

Also remember that lots of companies pay influencer on IG $5,000 to $10,000 per million followers to advertise their products. I never understood how they got a good ROI when doing these but they obviously do since a lot of those weight loss tea and teeth whiting companies are very aggressive in influencer market.

In fact, Cocowhite got to 6 figure monthly revenue in under 7 months or something solely on paying influencers to promote their products.

There was a study in adweek that you get $5-9 average ROI for every $1 you spend. But conversions really depend on a lot of things.
