I am from Country 'A' and I want to sell my things in country 'B'. What are the payment gateways which we can use for transactions?

1.
I want PayPal, I have an account in Country 'A' with PayPal, will this make a difference or will be this an issue in getting payments to it?

2.
I also want my customers to be able to pay via Credit and Debit Cards as well. Now what I want to know is what payment gateway should I use? Country 'A' Payment Gateways or Country 'B' Gateways?

I am really confused and your guidance may help me out of trouble :)

Lets make it happen.

Paypal will covert from or to whatever countries you are operating. In 2006 I sold poker chips around the world on Ebay and Amazon. We were taking payments and everything was converted to the home currency. I'm not saying you will always get the best rates from paypal, but that's paypal.

Depending on your country of origin the rates are always better if you get a direct merchant account and getting a gateway like auth.net This is one of the most common and again they will convert the currency to whatever you want. Those will be best rates and best conversion rates. What is your home country? if you don't mind sharing...

No, as hitndrun said, paypal will process all the payments. If different currencies are involved, you will have a fee (FX conversion fee). You will get your revenues in your paypal wallet.

Any payment provider will work but it depends on your business, in which country your company is incorporated, and where you process payments (where your clients come from).

As you are on shopify, I will suggest to stick with shopify payments (powered by stripe) if your company is located in a supported country. Otherwise, you have the list on shopify website (I cannot link it sorry)
From the list, I will advise: cardstream, paymill, authorize.net, wirecard (if big volume), worldpay(if big volume), sagepay, checkout.com (my favorite)

I have a shopify website and I got a bit tricked because my country did not have a lot of providers. Becareful
