Shopify noob question

I understand all the idea of Shopify, for paypal payment its clear but for cards i dont get the idea, do i need to create a 2checkout acc first so i will link that to my shopify or how do i get paid on my card/bank ? Looks like paypal its the simplest method for my buyers but also paypal implies lots of negative things

It's two alternatives, you require to setup payment gateway for your shopify store first it works like your internet bank account and using that customers can pay using available options like CC, Debit card, AMEX etc. This depends upon your gateway provider.

Paypal will allow customers to pay using their PP account and/or Cards when 2checkout will allow customers to pay using cards, wallets, PP etc. depending upon your configuration with 2checkout.

Upgrade your PayPal to Premier from Personal, so you'll be able to accept credit card payments.

Or you can use 2Checkout too to accept PayPal payments.

Upgrade to a business account and use PayPal express checkout(you can accept credit card payments), by default your theme will only show the PayPal icon on the bottom but you can easily change it here's the link
