Shopify Method Bug ?! Or Wrong settings ?

Hello, everybody. Recently I discovered an error I think or maybe I've done something wrong with my settings, on Shopify free item pay for shipping. I have a few products with are free but pay for ship, So all good if they go to check out with one two or three items it shows different price but for example is someone goes back to cart and add another item from a different category with has free shipping but pay full price for the item, when they go back to shipping method at checkout it show's 2 methods 1 FREE for item B the one priced. and ship method 2 . for item A the priced shipping. So basically they always have a second free option. And in this case, doesnt matter how many free items they buy if the priced product is in the bascket they will have the second option to ship is for free , so that means a big fat - on sales .
If anyone experienced this or have and ideea if we can fix this please leave a comment below.

The free + shipping method isn't profitable for multiple items because you can't charge shipping separate for each item. It's always 1 item + 1 shipment.

What do you mean ? You can change the shipping for multiple items if they buy 3 free producs the same or diferent they will have to pay the price x3 ...

You can but it will make customers mad to pay shipping independent for each item. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

that's not a problem bro. There's no other way how to set the shipp for multiple items of the same kind if they want more you can't give them more for the same price right? But you don't get me, my issue is when they add another product to card form another category is priced but has free shipping . At check out shows 2 shipping options and is not normal ..

Same thing happens to me and I don't see the problem it shows the shipping for the free + ship item and free shipping for the other item. The total ads up.

PS: I'm using woocommerce + plugins

Cool but here's the thing. You have few items on your store right and another one free. I come and buy the free one and another one paid . I should get both for the same delivery price right ? not to have 2 choices one free and another paid . of course I will choose the free one and you end up giving me both items free delivery .
 
Yeah, it shouldn't be selectable. In woocommerce it isn't selectable because I have advanced shipping plugin enabled and have a different shipping class for the said free item.
 
This is why I have weight-based and price-based shipping rates set on my store. I have a store where some products are priced at $0.01(Free) and I charge for shipping, and other products retailed at higher prices where I offer free shipping. If the cart contains 2 products (Free+ Retailed), then Shopify will only show the weight based shipping rates. If the cart contains 2 Free Products, Shopify will only show the price-based shipping rates.

I set each product's weight to 100G.

I have a weight based condition where, a cart with a total weight of 0.1-0.2KGg (1-2 products) will have a FREE Shipping rate. Meaning if someone were to add 1-2 products and checkout, they'd be provided free shipping. These two products can be -
1. Paid + Paid
2. Free + Paid

I start charging for shipping if the weight exceeds 0.2Kg i.e 200g.

Now, what if someone added 2 FREE items only?

If someone were to add 2 Free Products, the price-based shipping rates come into play. Each Free product is priced at $0.01. I've set them like this - upload_2017-6-29_1-6-7.png

If I add 2 products worth $0.01 each, the total will obviously be $0.02. So Shopify smartly only shows the shipping rate I've set when the cart total is $0.02 i.e $25.97 and so on.

This way my customers are never shown two shipping rates during checkout. I hope this helps.
