Hello guys, i recently read a bit about shopify/aliexpress dropshipping and i want to test it out.

I have a tech traffic source that can bring me around 5k UV a day, which i am currently monetizing with the amazon affiliate program, but the comissions are very low so i am looking for something that can get me more, and i think dropshipping can do that.

Now lets get into the question:

How does shopify pay out? Do i have to signup to Stripe/2Checkout or any other similar payment processor or does shopify have its own processor?

Can i use payoneer for that if i reside outside of the US?

Thank you

Shopify is system for managing your shop, just like Woocommerce;
You have to add your own payment processor like Paypal, 2 Checkout, Stripe, etc;

But Shopify also has it's own, pre-built system which supports Stripe as far as I know; But it's for limited categories of countries

If you are from these countries below you should use "Shopify Payments" payment gateway.

From shopify page: "Shopify Payments is available only to stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. It is not available to U.S. territories except Puerto Rico." This is the Shopify's pre-built system.

Also some countries which don't support Shopify Payments does support Stripe as a separate. Note that Shopify Payments are powered by Stripe but they are still two separate gateway methods. Example my country doesn't support Shopify Payments but i can still use Stripe

If you can't use shopify payments i suggest you google "Your country shopify payment gateways"

Also remember it's best to use PayPal with these credit card gateways. So you have two gateways one for cards and other is paypal :)

Thank you both for the replies.

My country doesn't have Paypal, but i have Payoneer which acts as an US bank account. Can i do anything with that?

If you don't have paypal, you can try other payment gateways like stripe or 2checkout.
