Shopify Creation/Setup Services - Opinions?

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the Shopify Setup services. I want to create a store but my design skills / visuals suck. I feel like anything I try to create/design always ends up looking like crap. I assume using Photoshop to enhance some images and make them fit in better is also something that can improve design drastically?

Do you think it's worth to pay someone just to create a good looking website?

You can have someone work on the website because at the end of the day Visual appeal matters.
You can also use install Shopify themes.
 
If you can't get yours done in a way to bring conversions then best to let someone do it.
 
Might be a bit late, but... If you have limited budget, then hiring somebody to do the job might be a bit expensive. Don’t rate yourself too strict. Just go with clean design without any banners popping up here and there. Use fonts that are easy to read and same color scheme on your store.(I’m using black, white and some red). You don’t need great photoshop skills, just learn how to crop images and delete text from photos. Make sure that all photos are the same size if they have to be! Will be enough for the beginning. Also, you always can ask your family/friends for their opinion about your design. Good luck!

Not too late, have had a busy week so still haven't made a start.
