Hope I'm in the right place...if not, please forgive me.
There is a Shopify store that carries some items that I am interested in purchasing. However, these items go out of stock a few seconds after they are listed on line. You have to check out lightning fast or else you won't be able to make a purchase.
Most people sit behind the computer and continue to refresh the page until the site shows that the item is back in stock. There is a new stock loaded every Monday at 11:00pm.
The item I want is not listed on the menu until they are available, but I have bookmarked the direct link to the item. I can't load the item into the cart because the button to "add to cart" is not highlighted. I can create a cart by going to the cart and adding the item integer number at the end and it will show the item loaded in the cart but it will say out of stock.
With that said......where would be the best place for me to start refreshing the page at 10:59? Should I be on the main page waiting for it to appear, add it to the cart and check out as fast as possible? OR should I go directly to the bookmarked link of the item and continue to refresh from that page? OR should I go ahead and create a cart using the method above and refresh from the cart I created? I just don't know if refreshing the cart will do me any good....it might not do anything, I never tried it.
If I refresh from the page that I have bookmarked that is a direct link to the item, that would knock off one less step/page I have to deal with during my check out. My question really is if I should try making a cart and refreshing the cart that all read says out of stock....or should I refresh from the link I have bookmarked that is direct to the item?
I used to start from the main page and check out quick, but more and more people are buying from this shop so there is a lot more traffic. I'm just trying to see if I can do anything more to help assure a successful purchase.
