Shopify - Amazon worth it?

I'm planning to start womens fashion store in shopify via amazon products.

I just readed an shopify ebook and I founded they have 2% transaction fee. And that would eat too much from what I would earn
from amazon associates.

So my questions are:

1. Does anyone know cheaper way to do this?

2. Should I just go back to coding and start a website instead?

Yep, shopify includes all the hosting, ssl cert, and your cc processor all in one. Good and bad, but what you should do is use a theme from wordpress, or woo com as mentioned above, and check out the prosociates plugin.
