Shitlist - Should this be allowed?

I'm posting this thread to see what our community thinks about unprofessional buyers and customers and whether those people should be allowed on here or not.

Let me give you a bit of a preview so you can understand the reason behind this thread.

We've sold thousands of GMB listings since we started our offer on this forum. Any service providers know that customers come in all shapes, forms, colors, sizes as well as levels of professionalism.

I was recently contacted by a customer (who lost his GMB listing after 5 months) asking for a replacement. Any serious GMB blackhatter understands the risks involved with creating artificial Google My Business listings. Nothing lasts forever and the goal of this business model is to take out more money than you put in.

Just like any other order, the listing was verified with the information he provided.

He accused me of not having verified the listing with the info - the listing was accepted at the time it was delivered. He asked for the verification method which I exposed as well but I was in no way, shape, or form required to do so. Verification methods remain confidential.

I told him everything that I'd do if I was in his shoes including filing a reinstatement request which has a low probability for success and creating a new listing in the event the reinstatement request gets declined by Google.

He began cursing at me and called me a "fucking moron".

This was the end of the discussion and we won't be serving him again in the future.

The reason why he insulted is that he used it as a way to get another listing for free. We don't provide free replacements after the listing was up for 5 months.

You shouldn't contact someone who knows more about the subject than you do, ask them for advice, and then tell them that they're a "fucking moron".

We oversee the creation and verification of listings and we know what works and what doesn't at any moment in time.

Most insulters only insult via messages, never in person. They don't have the guts to do so.

Nobody should put up with someone like him and I think he should be banned from the forum for his misconduct.

I provided solutions which he declined.

Do you think unprofessional members should be banned to create a healthier business environment on BHW?
 
Unforntenetly, you will get nightmare customers that have a feeling of entitlement and feel that by belittling another human being, it's okay to do. I find it disheartening as we are all people trying to make money, but some (2%) take it on to themselves to push their bad lives or days onto you. Don't take it personally; just realize your the bigger person for handling it in a grown-up manner. I bet you have done a lot for your customers and have gotten great feedback so that should outweigh the negative people who are just angry about everything. Again, focus on the positive, and you will be fine.
 
Maybe we should ban BST owners that keep bumping their threads early? In the end it is a meaningless insult that is not really personal as it does not focus on you as a person. Banning for that?

- Did he pay? Yes?
- Did he chargeback ? No?

then why should he get banned. In the end, you have to realize that BST sellers profit a lot from ppl that do not know the best/noobs... so you do the math if you take off all the noobs on BHW...
 
He is not satisfied with your service (or he doesn't understand it) and therefore he is insulting you. This happens in every business. No matter if its in a Starbucks, Burger King, car dealership and even in a hospital. A few days ago I saw a video how one guy went mad in a Burger King and started punching the employee cuz the chicken wings were too spicy. This shit happens.

On the other hand: You also get lots of shitty sellers on here, making wrong promises, fake reviews or keep coming up with excuses.
 
I think it should be allowed. You now have someone to let your own frustrations out on, because he surely won't buy from you again.
Answer insults with insults and you have balance in the world.

You would also have to open a SL thread, cite the issues, post proof of all events and explain what you would want the outcome to be for that SL thread but I don't see any rules being broken as to that convo as it does not appear to have happened on BHW.

Doesn't matter. If he reads your comment, he probably feels even more justified to have communicated the way he did.

I definitely agree with you about the fact that most BST sellers generate the most profits from beginners. Things look very different for our company. We make 95%+ of our money from actual companies (some of which we found through this forum) as they have the right kind of budget. We aren't in the business of selling courses or info products but we provide lead gen solutions through our gmb services. We'd still be fine without the noobs but I understand that most sellers wouldn't be. Many beginners have good etiquette, though.

Just because someone is a beginner doesn't give them any more rights to talk to sellers like that.

Everyone should treat their clients, contractors, and co-workers with a certain level of respect. Etiquette goes a long way in business. People who don't have it stay small!

Right, he contacted me through email which he provided via the message feature of this platform, and I doubt he would have sent those messages via your platform. I can prove everything through video if need be.

I know he didn't break any shitlist rules yet. But at the very least, it would be good to remind him that a certain level of respect is expected.

We delivered his order more than 5 months ago. Based on his communication, we ceased all future business dealings with this customer. There's no way to continue a business relationship at this point in time.
 
You'd end up with a hell of a lot more SL threads from sellers complaining about buyers.

Sadly in life you get buyers who really have no clue and are uneducated. Mix that with the tyre kickers and it gives you a real feel for the buyers out there.

Thankfully, there are those who have an understanding, are genuine and have realistic expectations.
 
At least is paid job, by the time people use to swear me (BHW included) on PM because "I am shit" or my method is shit, assuming they have no clue about IM and the method was free.
Also, I used to have 1 customer which order a small job years ago, he says if I don`t refund him that 7-8 USD he opens a shitlist, not because that thing does not work, but he doesn`t need it anymore.

Just imagine.

But the level of stupidity, at least on BHW is quite small. Here we have a word: In any nice forest, you will see some ugly bushes.

Resolve, ignore, move on.
