I do not think it is google dance. Must be some kind of trust reduction. Must be because of the link quality.

Trust reduction sounds more legit. Any other ideas?

I lost 80% of my traffic on 28 september and I can't understand why.. can't find anything official from Google yet..
 
Misharuski - how much traffic you lost? Are your websites new?

I've got a lot of high quality links and not that many low quality links. The footprints may be the problem.
 
Maybe it's to do with having Adsense on your websites? Of the 2 threads I've read both OP's said they don't use Adsense, as far as I can tell. They also said they use the same server. But other than that I can't see any correlation.
 
Damn, and I thought I was the only one got hit or there's some redirection on my hta access file. Was that the results of generating too many backlinks?? Hmm..
 
I lost ranking on one of my sites, although i found out it was to do with my cache not working properly (w3 total cache on wordpress) it was working for browsers but as soon as i tried to access it from google or wget on my server it returned a 500 error.

I fixed the error but still i didn't get my serps back. a week later i just pinged all my old links again and bang! i returned higher than ever.

Maybe try pinging your old links?

Wow you serious? I got that on some of my blogs.. I better check it out.
 
I also experienced it with one of my blog , before I think it caused by magic submitter that i just bought and used extensively in few days , so it seem caused by other factor.
 
You should use high PR rank links.That would really help you in the long run.It happens some times.Strategies can fail at some point of time.You should go with high PR rank links
 
I've been catching up on the latest effective seo techniques over the past few years and this is what i learned...don't just rely on seo,all the efforts,time and money we've spent will go down in just one algorithm update.

Let's simply focus on other ways to gain visitors.
