My 3 year old little man was sick 105degree fever so I took him to the hospital and found out he has type A flu and was tested positive for n1h1 :eek:

Me and 1 of my daughters got it from him. Now w have to stay home for at least 48 hours. I don't feel any more sick than a regular flu but worry about the kids and I'm afraid my 75 year old mother-in-law would catch it. STORY OF MY LIFE!!!!

Yep get some rest for sure. Some interesting facts about the Swine Flu and part of what makes it so dangerous:

A hyper-inflammatory response appears to be the cause of the high mortality (63%) associated with the Avian Flu (H5N1) , and recent studies indicate a similar risk with the Swine Flu (H1N1) as well.

In other words, if you smoke anything..stop. Use anything that can help the body fight inflammation such as certain foods etc.

it's no worse than seasonal (actually, some people say it's better) flu unless you're extremely unlucky. i'm sure you'll be fine. people over 60 are sometimes immune to swine flu because of old epidemics that used to be similar to this one so your mother-in-law might be luckly. can't you move her for a week or two?
anyhow, get better soon! :)
 
My wife,me, and one of my kids has been sick for a week. We did'nt go to the doctor. Don't know if it is swine flu or not. I'm not really worried about it. Hope you and your family get feeling better.

Yeah, there was an outbreak in 1918 and in 1976 so most elderly people are immune. Swine flu has been around for over a hundred years now. Swine (this variant though) is actually milder than the "normal" flu so you have nothing to worry about. Only people who already have serious health problems form a risk. But that also applies to normal flu, so I would not worry to much.
 
take a chill pill and have some Chinese soup as well...with some noddles in it ok ?
