Hi,

I'm been with ebay for awhile dropship some accessories. All my shipment to my customers were normal airmail and there has not been any missing/lost shipments.

Recently, I got a email from my customer claiming that he has yet received his products. It was shipped out by my supplier close to 03 weeks prior to his email.

Since this is my first time that a shipment was lost, could you guys advise what the next course of actions for me? My supplier agreed to resend the replacement and only charge for shipping. Should I get my buyer to pay for shipping cost?

Thanks in advance

First get sure he isn't screwing you. If he isn't, you pay the shipping-costs as it isn't his fault and letting him pay the costs would result in a negative feedback.

just ship another. your feedback is more important then collecting more shipping costs.

I agree. I did some dropshipping through Amazon a few years ago. First, make sure it really is lost. If there is tracking, check it. Show your customer service skills if there is tracking: Ask them if a neighbor might have it for example.

If you do decide to send another, then you pay the shipping cost to keep your customer's faith in your service.

If you shipped with Fedex or UPS file a claim, they will usually pay you back the value up to $100 unless you insured the package for more. If you shipped via USPS they usually never pay and your going to be out that money. Either way, your going to need to send a replacement.

Thanks for all the advice.

Guess have to send replacement for free.

open a claim for 300 gbp for lost stuff lol :D ( in post office :D )

got one better, sent ours through recorded over a month ago.its took that long to get there that customer opened a case.then recieved left neutral feedback but said thank you.
what did paypal do give him money back,so even pointing out to ebay/paypal that he has received and left feedback, their answer was well checking royal mails website still on as not delivered.which to this day is still is.
royal mail then tell me it has been delivered but I (not anybody else, but just me)shouldve got a signature for it.
pointed out that surely is the postmans job, well apparently not always.so i cant claim because its not lost, its not stolen because customer agrees hes got it.
hold on im owed money so he gets goods for nothing paypal/ebay get paid cant do anything because theyve sent email to customer to say hes got item and pay money back, wont answer, i wouldnt either.oh and royal mail well send you a form out to fill in 2 weeks later-nothing.
so if you need anything at all just let me know,no shipping/goods/service charge, its all free and ill leave you positive feedback.
sorry,rant over
