I just cant go through the feel of Evernote being not updated and looking like dinosaur.
I used Trello for work a lot and Keep to keep my own notes. Works good.
I like colored tabs in Trello the most - you can easily categorize everything.

I would also suggest Nike, but not the Air Max edition. They are awesome :)

One of the best posts I've read on here in a long time. Excellently written man, good stuff!

Amazing! I like how you implemented health on here which is normally not seen in other threads. I think drinking heaps of water also improves your mood and helps skin etc.

Your level of life is somewhere I strive to be at where I can just tip people, and buy lunch for everyone monthly, that would really make me happy seeing that I've made other people happy.

Side note I'm starting out ORM would you be down for a quick chat sometime?

Excellent post, and I have never heard of tittygram but I have the perfect project coming up for it!!

Good work sherb!

Appreciate the kind words.

Water is definitely a necessity that I completely overlooked in the guide. I find that when I drink a ton of water (upwards of a gallon or so) I feel a lot better than days I forget to hydrate up. There are definitely plenty of things I would change about my life, but I'm very happy with the point I am at for being 25 years old. All my hopes/dreams are relatively tangible (hell, my dream car is a $12K http://unique-cars.xyz/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Mercedes-Benz-560SL.jpg)

I'm definitely down for a chat. Send me a PM with your email address and I will add you to the Slack channel.

A useful thread in so many ways. It has the motivation that people need, it enables them to keep active and healthy, and shows them how to organize their work and schedule to better facilitate their time.

I haven't seen a thread like this around here in a long time. There have been a lot of threads that push other threads together and threads similar to those, but this is something personal and works well.

Some of this I have already began inserting into my schedule and some of it I already used prior to reading this thread. Thanks for bringing all of this information to the forums, bruv.

Appreciate it!

Let me know which things you're inserting into your schedule, and if you have any questions about any of it.

I've got some 25lb dumbbells sitting at home, I think I may start getting a good dumbbell routine set up, just to get some light lifting sets done in between online work.

I was half-assed looking for an app for exercising. I bought Just 6 Weeks yesterday after reading your thread. I went out and bought some fruits & protein for the morning walks/jogs I'll soon be taking (I've been meaning to start that routine, took it as a sign and went with it). I normally use the bulky 30lb dumb bells for different exercises.

Really, my workspace was messy. I let it get that way, but I'm secretly a neat freak, even in my code. So, I cleaned things up, and have designated areas for things. Fiverr, Pushbullet, and the Google tools I was already utilizing. Oh, and the tea you recommended, I am going to try at night.

Just 6 Weeks is great. It's basically a $2 combination of five free apps, but it beats having deal with multiple buttons and such. $2 is two minutes of work for me in time-value, so it's definitely worth it.

Regarding exercise, for about a year I was a Fitbit junkie. I was cranking out between 20k and 30k steps a day for several months straight. I loved how I got detailed statistics about how my movement was changing. Plus I was competing with my boss to see who could get the most steps. I had to stop when I became too obsessed and it started amping up the anxiety and really affecting my day-to-day life. But by that point, I was well aware what level of activity would lead to however many steps.

I would go out and run eight miles, and in my head count every step I took. This is unhealthy when it's close to 12,000 of them. And when I would get back to the office all sweaty and see that my Fitbit had only counted 11,500, I would be bummed for the rest of the day. I bailed on that thing in June of 2015 and my lifestyle improved drastically. I decided to give it another go last week actually. By the end of the first day all these old feelings were popping back up and I had to put it away.

A clean workspace is a clean mind, my friend :)

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blackhat-lounge/820363-i-own-42-material-possessions-i-m-minimalist-s-motivational.html is a good thread from a true minimalist in every sense of the word that was posted here this morning. It's not a lifestyle for everyone, but it eliminates a good bit of stress and a great bit of clutter.

Holy shit! This is GOLDEN! Thank you so much for your time and effort for sharing this.

Some great tips and service recommendations.
Cheers!

I used to be the same way but with a routine of stretches, pushups, various uses of dumbbells, sit ups, crunches, side crunches, knee lifts, leg lifts, jogging, squats, and planking. I varied from 50-100 pushups straight, 30 concentration curls on each arm with a dumbbell, then repeat 3x. 100-300 situps straight, 100-300 crunches sometimes in variations & sometimes straight, 50 side crunches for each side, and 50-100 leg lifts. 25-50 Alternating deltoid raises for each arm, then 25-50 dumbbell shoulder presses. Jogging or biking for at least 30-45 minutes afterwards. I still do this, but it varies because now I'm monitoring my reps on a more stable level.

I agree, my workspace is tidy now. The walk I took upon waking up was really refreshing. It'll turn into more of a morning jog.

b.o.o.k.m.a.r.k.e.d. without hesitation.

i LOVE reading indepth posts like this and will get back to clicking through the links in your tome at the weekend but in the meantime, i really quite fancy chasing up the reddit suggestions later today and time allowing, i will.

also got to say that i agree with the trello'er about using that as an efficient card system for project management but notice that you mentioned SLACK in one of your later replies? whats your need for that and what were you using prior to slack??

PS - many many thanks for putting this together

Tried Trello, hated it. Maybe I didn't give it enough time, but at that moment I had too much on my plate software wise and it became overwhelming. Slack is used in my workplace and has cut down on about 75% of the email I used to receive, as most of it was interdepartmental. We used to use something called Spark (http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/spark/) but it wasn't as functional as we wanted it to be, and there was no desktop or mobile option. I heard a Tim Ferriss Show podcast with Matt Mullenweg, the Wordpress guy, and he was raving about Slack, so I checked it out and suggested it to our VP. He is very much efficiency oriented as well, so was all for it.

When I purchase a house 18 months from now, I'm hoping to have as much of it automated as possible. One tool I will use to do this is IFTTT, synced with WeMo devices/products that can be seen here: https://ifttt.com/channels (scroll down).

Examples:

http://www.belkin.com/us/F7C049/p/P-F7C049/

$200 air purifier. There is a "recipe" i.e. trigger through IFTTT that checks your phone location on a regular basis. I can set a recipe to turn off the air purifier if I leave the radius of my home.

http://www.belkin.com/us/F7C050/p/P-F7C050/

$150 coffee maker. Examples of recipes include: Text me if the coffee maker needs to run a cleaning cycle, At sunrise, set Mr. Coffee to brew.

WeMo connects your phone to a slow cooker, plugs, switches, all sorts of cool shit. I'm excited to have this chance in the future.

I'm going to do the same thing, but I'll be using a secondary internet connection to remotely control my house in case I need to reboot modem of main internet for home servers and other stuff.
