Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever been banned by fiverr for sharing their email in a fiverr conversation. I client requested that I share my email, but since its against the term of usage I'm hesitant to do so. I just finished my second gig and I want to keep a clean slate. Don't want to get banned and such only after like two gigs! LOL! Any thoughts on this?

Don't do it unless you want to get booted off their site as a seller :)

Staying out of trouble

The fiverr guys will simply kick your ass out if you do that.

No, there is 30-40% chance that they will notice that...
and if they notice it, you will receive a WARNING, not get banned directly...
You can try once if you want ;)
but I would say, it is somewhat risky, so avoid it as much as u can

I have done this before without getting noticed.. just share it like xyz (at) gmail (dot) com.
Though, it could be the case that I was just lucky.. :)
Else share your website address with him in the gig and have your email id there.. somewhat indirect approach.

I am not saying that I did this, or that I would do this, or even that would ever consider doing this on purpose, but if you were to send a sample of your graphic work and accidentally forget it had a watermark website or e-mail address on it, they might inadvertently find out your e-mail address. Just an oversight on your part, if someone says something, and you will surely be more careful from now on.

I mean speaking purely hypothetically....

Yea, of course it's all hypothetical. Just as one can post a link to a blog post that has an email in the comment section. Hahaha, this is too funny. Thanks guys. I had a feeling this guy, my client, might be a troll trying to get me banned. Anyway, I did some good work for him so I don't think he has any reason to try to get me banned. But better safe than sorry and not post any contact information in the fiverr conversation.

just setup a fresh account if you wanna do that and use simple broken messages to get the point across the the seller.

If you're looking to promote more services, the best way I saw was attached readme's .pdf's or .doc's with the "work" the seller had done with their website and email to order more orders directly though them that way.

Its super easy read my tutorial about youtube top comments. and go over to the section 'Reality Check #3: Youtube flags comments by phrases not by specific words' look at the unicodes i use there to bypass youtube anti-spam system . You can use the same unicode to send him your email, trust me it works .

Thanks for all the advice guys, I managed to slip him my email and we've started a conversation through email. It would seem like he's quite impressed with my work and wants me to freelance for him. LOL! We're discussing rates and such atm. Here's to 'I hope I don't get scammed' hahaha.
