First off Im new here ...been reading threads for the last few days ...in all sections of the forum...pretty knowledgable peeps here ,with some good ideas . I have been researching affiliate marketting for the past few months collecting tools and ideas ...then stumbled here

Ill kick off my first post with a question about hosting

Assume I want to create 20 niche or micro niche sites ....is it a good or bad idea to run these sites from a shared hosting plan?

I already have a legit business website ...(it does not sell an item...it is a construction website kind of a portfolio site )

the affiliate marketting thing would be kinda a hobby .....would plonking these sites on my current webhosting plan be also a mistake?

If not shared hosting which type of hosting do the pro marketters suggest.....I would stick with my current host provider....just make another account if needed.

Thanks for any replies ...looking forward to hanging out here

Start with shared hosting. There is no need to upgrade until you start getting heavy traffic/using intense CPU scripts. (Your host will let you know when you're heavy on resources and will recommend you upgrade).

Also, it will be easier to go straight into a shared hosting environment with Cpanel which will simplify a lot of the webhosting tasks.
