Hey dudes anyone used shared proxies (like proxy bonanza) for Scrapebox.. and if so, what's your results been like compared to private proxies?

Muchas Gracias

Well sometimes they are good, but I had no issues with posting on the blogs, but I am using paid proxies, it's really cheap and good, 200 fresh proxies (only to you) per day, and you can choose "only scrapebox" option etc, for only $15/month, the user is on this forum I think.

www.proxylist.co , that is his site, I chose the $15/month plan, I have to say it's really good, but the proxies are running slow if you run it as your PC (with Scrapebox they are good).

Thanks Luka, what kinda success rate are you having?

Shared proxies are still very good. You can still use them to harvest and do all kinds of posting. However, in order to get maximum results, you need to have a good mix of comments for your posting and you would be able to pass through the Akismet.

Not always same, I just tried twice with my own proxies, and has a success rate of about 20%, and without private proxies it's about 10-15%.

Specifically, PB has ScrapeBox in its TOS as a banned app for usage with their proxies.

That is why it is better to ask first before committing oneself in paying. I know some poeple who did not bother to read the TOS or contact their support if they accepted Scrapebox, only to discover later that Scrapebox was not supported.

One of the major reasons I don't sell shared proxies is because I personally think they're like a restaurant using your leftover scraps to create the next meal, you NEVER know what they were used for before. Same with public proxies that half the world has already used because anyone can run out and grab the same list as you're wanting to use, and then you end up with the sorry sort of success rates mentioned above.

Private proxies at the best price around are the way to go I believe.

not so.
private proxies for posting i agree

but public ones for url scraping.
a mix of the 2 is always a good idea

public proxies are only as good as your source
and how many use them.

and considering gregstereo his buddy loopline 2 of the most
respected members on the scrape box scene signed with me
the ones i harvest from 999 urls cant be that bad

even sweetnfunny the maker of s/box uses my lists now and
again .. i rest my case .

The two of them are very necessary. Those of us really scraping the internet blogs heavily cannot do without public proxies. If not for public proxies, I cannot operate at the rate at which I am operating. Private proxies cannot do the job because they would cost me thousands of dollars to maintain every month. In addition, they will die quickly. For posting, I only use private ones for posting to the urls those public proxies have harvested for me. For me, private proxies need the public proxies to function. Also, private proxies create the need for public proxies. They are interdependent.

sweetfunny is also a paid client for my service so I'm not sure what that proves except that maybe she uses yours for the mundane tasks of doing search engine scrapes as it's probably easier to grab your list than just scrape them herself and then use mine for the real and important work of posting?

Resting your case means nothing I'm afraid, sorry.

Yes I agree with you there Scrapeboss and I actively encourage my clients to scrape proxies before using my private proxies service to post to those sites they've found.

and again read what i said
there is a use and a need for both.
private proxies provide a good service for mass posting that public
proxies cant do.
for example so many people use the proxies url scraped in scrapebox
that most of them dont work why is this ? because everyone is scraping
the same 7 urls - all using the same proxies.
what this means is - public proxies for url scraping is only as good as your
source and how many use it. the people sharing the same pool the less
efective it works.
and of course i understand you would berate public proxies as you supply
private ones . but if there so bad - explain how i have the only sales thread
here supplying lifetime public proxies for url scraping 15 pages - +39 itrader
over 600 posts - and 2 refunds - 1 for a user sharing his account - and another
for a user who couldnt get his scrapebox to work properly. so in effect 1 valid
refund in a sales thread 12 months old.
if the public proxies were so bad....based on your assertion of public proxies
wouldnt there be more ?

As P.T. Barnum is alleged to have said once upon a time, there's a sucker born every minute.

If you had read what I said above I agree, and even encourage my Scrapebox users to use public proxies when scraping.

It's just that Scrapebox has a builtin proxy scraping mechanism, that's free, for just that purpose.

The only reason my sales thread isn't that long or that old is because I sold my proxy business last year, just over a year ago now actually, and retired the sales thread and sat around on my fat ass for most of that year enjoying the profits I'd made over the previous entire year plus the sales profit untill I realised that people were getting screwed over yet again for proxies that weren't worth the amount of money they were being charged.

So I came back, get over it. As to why you don't have more people having gotten refunds? It's probably because most people are just plain lazy. I bought a new IM software today for $37 and if it turns out that it's yet another piece of hokum I most likely won't bother chasing a refund either.

*unsubscribed* so feel free to continue without me

well shared proxys is ok when scraping but private are allways best because it gives better result.

exactly as i said private ones for posting
public ones for url scraping.ive been saying
that on bhw for over a year
this is even talked of as the way to go in
the main scrapebox sales thread for 1 obvious
reason - public proxies can be refreshed everyday
for thousands of blog scrapes - but for some users
who dont have alot of cash - to use say 10 private
proxies to scrape+post on a monthly charge basis
the proxies would be burned in a week.
thats why public proxies and private go hand in hand
to get the best out of scrapebox.
both serve there purpose.
and texicola provides good proxies for scrapebox posting

ps - i only charge a 1 time fee for lifetime access
i take 1 payment only per customer only and there
access to proxies is for as long as they wish
some have had theres 5 yrs.
i wouldnt berate private proxies as they have there
use - so please try to refrain from doing the same please
