Shared or Wordpress hosting?

I want to know which one is useful, either shared or WordPress hosting.

WP hosting is also shared, I am thinking to switch to the Milesweb Indian server which is within the country server.

If anyone using WP hosting, kindly share ur experience with me.
 
Advertise on BHW
most services are the same thing essentially slapped with a different pricing and different title.
You would need to find truly reputable ones around are actually optimized towards WP.
Such as wpx or DO
Search the forums here, WPX has a excellent rep among the users in BHW
 
most places that say wp hosting is nothing more than a shared server labeled as wp hosting. You would need to make sure they have really set the server for wordpress. The best place for wordpress hosting would be wpengine but you will pay more for the service.
 
I can vouch for namecheap Wordpress hosting, if you just want to tinker around to see how they perform they only charge $1 first month
 
You can go with shared as long as it is a reputable hosting provider.

I've only had issues with WPX. Every time I tried to edit a WordPress page with Elementor, the whole site went offline (error 500 on all pages) and I had to contact their support. It happened even on fresh WordPress installations with no plugins beside Elementor. They tried everything (even increased the PHP memory limit), but it didn't help, so I asked for a refund and moved to another host. No problems so far.

However, I must say that their support is excellent. They are knowledgeable, polite and really do reply in less than 30 seconds as advertised. It's a shame that their live chat sucks, though. It's built in such a way that it reloads every time you navigate on their site (e.g. if you are chatting while on the dns page and click on the ftp page, the chat reloads as well, so you lose the conversation and end up with another agent - WTF?).

Interesting to hear about your experiences because while I had a good experience with them I have heard many complaints from others too. I have only a few sites hosted with them and mostly outsource the development. But even then, everything went smoothly. For sure there are better alternatives, but those might be pricier.
 
I'd draw your attention to deals from hostingsource.com and libertyvps.net.
I have never faced issues with them, when need any support their friendly team is always available for me.

I am using it for one of my site for months but there is little joy with it compared to Shared Hosting. It has it's limitations regarding plugins that you can use. It is a service that is for the less technically skilled (or just lazy) site owners with a small budget.
 
They are actually the same. Most providers do WP hosting to catch more customers/ newbies that's all. Just go with shared hosting, they are usually cheaper

It’s true, I am just using Wordpress namecheap for my projects that require less customization, treat it more or less like html hosting, even SSL setup is very buggy, but for new entry to try Wordpress hosting, it’s not a bad choice
 
I am using WP hosting and I don't see major difference on it..
 
Shared is handy if you want to be able to access, and have full control over the backend, like email, and databases.
 
Two of my WP-hosted sites are down due to SSL cert issue, host is working on it and communicated publicly, so I am not the only user who has this issue that affects WP-hosted sites.
