If i host multiple websites on one shared hosting plan and get one penalized will the other websites get penalized also?

No, I don't think hosting has anything to do with seo unless you're hosting pron or other niches that might be blocked when using "safety search"

No, or otherwise you would get penalized by the behaviour of other people.

Right now I don't think Google is doing this so you should have nothing to worry about. Many sites share the same domain IP.

Only your domain get penalized no harm to your ip or host or server.

You don't think because you have not done your research nor have the experience.

Hosting does certainly affect SEO. Having your domain under a single IP will be more beneficial than having it under a shared account.
Now, if you have all of your domains under a single PRIVATE ip and you are fucking around and doing BH, the domains within that same PRIVATE ip can certainly be affected, specially if they are registered under the same name/email etc.

Now that being said, this will not affect you unless you are making REALLY loud noise...

And to answer the question, there is no such thing as a shared IP penalty. Having your domains under the same ip will not affect them negatively.

It would affect if the other domains were penalized for spamming or engaging in any other online ilegal activities, which in that case the Ip's would get blacklisted.

These domains are also called "bad neighbors".

edit: I agree with Reyone

I dont think it will be penalized unless.

You have malware on your server.
You hosted heavy porn on your server.
Email spam and comment spam.

Remeber that the IPv4 are now in limited slots.
