Hi guys,
Today i created an affiliate program on ShareASale platform. In this thread i will keep you posted about my experience & results.

So far;
  • Creating a merchant account: Takes a few hours (including tracking code integration & testing).
  • Activation: 550 USD + 35 USD Monthly fee (first month free)
  • 100 USD Deposit for payouts (minimum threshold is 25 USD)
  • They reviewed my application in 1 business day.

In first 3-4 hours - 3 affiliates applied to join my program (2 of them has broken & fake website links). I think if i purchase some addons for program promotion (they have packages starting from 250 USD) i can recruit some affiliates.

It was not cheap to start - i will add more details when i get first conversions from the affiliates.

Damn, $935 a year just to be on there. Hopefully, you can make it back. Good luck man.

I didn't know this was so expensive, good luck!

Why ShareASale ? Is it better than ClickBank ?

My product is not good fit for ClickBank - we have a webmaster tool / website tool.

2nd Update: So far 25 affiliates applied for program - only 4 clicks to our landing page.

18 affiliates has coupon websites (all of them looks like shit). (Wordpress + some bullshit theme + coupon plugins)

5 affiliates applied to program just to promote their 3rd party affiliate software. (e.g: One of them offered me to onboard +200 affiliates each week for 500 USD / month)

Maybe +10 has broken & fake links.

I do not feel good for my 550 USD + 100 USD :) but i will keep my program active there to see some results.

Posting to follow this thread. I was thinking to try Shareasale, failed on the integration with Weebly (it sucks).

Just created an affiliate program on SAS. Will se how it will work for me, we have a CBD webshop

Interesting to see the merchant side of ShareASale, I have been interested in this for a while. Good luck, following!

I've been managing programs on ShareASale for 15 years. The first 150 applications mean nothing. You should decline them immediately. The real affiliates you want promoting your products need invitations. You won't be happy with the ROI for at least three months. I'll follow this thread in case you have any questions.

Following, we've been looking at ShareASale/ClickBank to help improve affiliate recruitment on our SaaS offering. We're currently using Reffersion.

My product is not good fit for ClickBank - we have a webmaster tool / website tool.

I thought that would be ideal for ClickBank, we're targetting SEO's and a few similar services are on there. Was there anything else that put you off?

Honestly clickbank would be better option or jvzoo or something like that. Shareasale is more for physical products and you say it's expensive - it's very cheap for quality affiliates they do have, maybe it's just not for you so far, try other platforms too as well.

How're things going? Are your stats getting any better over this past week?

Not good - 0 conversions (for last 2 weeks).

On one of my websites, I sent 300 clicks to Shareasale. 0 sales.

When I use Tradedoubler, CJ or Amazon affiliate program, at least every 10th click will convert for me. Just to give you some experience from the publisher side as well. Have read other publishers with similar experiences.
