Without a doubt having a reseller hosting account has been great. Lots and lots of websites without the hassle of working Unix OS. And yes Unix is great, I am just tired of dealing with it - got other fish to fry.

I just switched back to windows earlier last week and so far I haven't had the problems my linux OS had. (Constant freezing, crazy resource usage, can't run half the programs)

It's a good OS, but I wouldn't recommend it as a workstation for IM. You should have it on a separate computer and just use that to run all your automated scripts.

What distro did you use? I'm running on Ubuntu for past ~3 years and everything works good (running whatever program I want, definitely no freezing). I'm using this as my main workstation, with windows7 only in virtual machine.

Not saying linux is for everybody but if you use your PC mainly for IM I'd say linux is worth the shot.

I used ubuntu/xbuntu on my IM laptop and it was laggy as hell. My hardware is a bit out of date (HP DV7 - the 2010 version), but I know that shouldn't happen. I'm running backtrack fine on my other laptop, so that's the only linux distro I'd recommend (Definitely not to noobies because it has a really high learning curve)

Can install on most devices and keeps records of everything under one encrypted password. Can install on dropbox so you never lose your data and it stays synced through all devices that way.

That's weird, Xfce is lightweight, should run smoothly, even on older hardware (not so long ago I was running kde4 on Core2Duo, all good). Learning curve - depends on what you wanna do with it, I have one linux computer set for my parents, they know nothing advanced about computers and use it with no problems.

to be honest, I had at least 30 chrome tabs opened at all times an on 4gb of ram, that didn't really help me out.

Nice, I use bat files to do this also for pinpal and xtumble but you should use a seperate folder for each instance of your bots or it will cause issues.

so ... adult30, adult31, etc

write your main passwords to do with email, and money accounts on a small notepad, and keep handy. Use an encryption method for them all, so that when you enter the password into the site, you substitute the b's for the t's (or whatever you want) keep a backup, and store it in a locked box, inside a mailbox address.

always carry your main notepad with you. If your house gets burgled or burnt down, you'll be able to get back online no probs, by just buying a new laptop, and walking into a local hotel. 0% downtime.
